Students with B.Tech in CE from IIT Delhi can either go for core sector or non-core. There are many core companies that visit the IIT Delhi campus for placement drives such as GSK, ITC, HUL, Hospira, Jubilant, Reliance, Honeywell, etc. Students of Chemical Engineering can seek employment in various fields such as Pharmaceuticals, Ceramics, Food processing, etc. Many PSUs such as ONGC, IOCL, SAIL, etc. also recruit B.Tech graduates through the GATE examination.

Students also have good placement options in the non-core sector such as finance, supply chain, analyst, consulting, business development, IT, coding, etc.

Those who are focused on research and development can go for MTech and Phd as IIT Delhi offers great exposure for higher studies. Also, the workload of chemical engineering is less than the other departments, students get ample time to prepare for competitive exams such as GATE or CAT or IAS.
