Remarks :

I got IIT Guwahati through JEE Advance, we first have to clear JEE Mains then we will become eligible for JEE Adv. If we have crossed a cutoff percentile in mains. I got a little bit of benefit in adv. But not that much.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum is great tho hectic as well, have a student ratio of 1:4 in my branch. Faculties are highly qualified and have a nice teaching method. There was a lot of exams, as quizzes are the one who fill up the gaps between big exams. If we able to cope up with academics and cocurrucular then it's well and good if not then it might be hard to cope up with academics.

Class Size : 97Course Fees : INR 200000 per year

Placement Experience :

After 6th sem students started to get on-campus placements. The highest package offered domestically is around 1.2 crore in cse branch and about 50 lpa in the chemical branch. About 85 % of chemical branches got placed. My plan is to have a secure job and do something extra side as photography.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

It's about 2 lakh per year (1 per sem), I have qualified NTSE exam which is why I get a scholarship of 24 thousand per year. Got a high chance to get placement on campus and have 85% placement percent in the chemical branch.

Campus Life :

There were a lot of clubs from dancing to music, from photography to sports, etc. Got a well-furnished 2-story library stuffed with journals, and study books of all subjects and courses. Have annual and tech fest as spirit, Alcheringa, Techniche, Spardha, etc. Use to happen during Sep, Oct, Nov, Jan, and Feb. And have separate courts for badminton, tennis, hockey, football, basketball, squash, cricket, volleyball and whatever sports u can think of.

The placement of the college is quite good. we cannot disclose the name of the company visiting the campus because the training and placement cell of NIT SILCHAR did not allow us to disclose the names of the companies. My plan after getting my degree is to go through the UPSC exam.

The College life at NIT SILCHAR

Course Curriculum Overview:

Because I was interested in this course. Here the faculty-to-student ratio would be around 1:25 which is very good we can clarify our doubts by asking the faculty, the Qualification of the teaching method will mostly be the same, they are PhD, but their teaching experience plays a major role and their teaching method varies from faculty to faculty but it would be nice. Term exams would be around 5 months Difficulty in passing the exams depends on the faculty.

There are too many companies visiting the campus for recruitment. Almost all the students who are eligible for placements get placed with a good package.

Placement Experience:

The placement season in the college is a very important one. Even before that, students get to do internships from 2nd year of BTech, providing them exposure to all kinds of companies and job sectors. All kinds of companies like Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Amazon, Uber make their way out here in search of bright minds capable of developing the companies further. They even provide the students with Pre Placement Offers, if their internship performance is commendable. The highest package goes upto above 2 crore INR per year, with average packages of above 25 lakhs INR per year. Above 85% of the students get placed in the end, with the others interested in higher studies. Nobody is left idle. My plans after BTech are to pursue a well paying job with a good working atmosphere.
