Tezpur University offers four integrated programs and a certificate course under its UG curriculum. The courses are Integrated M.Sc, Integrated M.Com, Integrated MA in English, Integrated B.Sc B.Ed, and Certificate in Chinese course. The minimum eligibility requires passing 10+2 in Science/Commerce/Arts stream with 60% aggregate marks. Admission to these courses will be done through Common University Entrance Test (CUET).

Tezpur University UG Selection Criteria

Candidates will be selected on the basis of the merit list of CUET 2023. Candidates will have to appear for General Test for a few courses.

• Integrated M.Sc courses have a selection process based on CUET(UG) – 2023
• Integrated MA courses have selection criteria based on the marks obtained in General Test.

Tezpur University UG Application Process

Candidates will have to apply for CUET (UG)-2023 through only the online mode. The online application form must be submitted by the candidate through the NTA website- https://cuet.samarth.ac.in/. The detailed instruction for the filling up the online application is given below:

• Candidates need to visit the official website- https://cuet.samarth.ac.in/
• Candidates will have to register first with a valid Email-ID & Phone number.
• A password & Application Number has to be generated
• Candidates must upload Photograph (10Kb-200Kb) and Signature (4Kb-30Kb) along with educational documents.
• Documents to be uploaded- scanned copy of Category Certificate and PWD Certificate (if needed)
• Candidates should check the application form before submitting it
• The application fees are to be paid through online mode only
• The candidate must take the printout of the submitted application form and the fee receipt for future reference

The university offers admission to B.Tech course on the basis of a valid score in JEE Main. 60% seats are reserved for candidates belonging to North Eastern states and 40% seats will be filled through All India Rank (AIR) followed by a centralized counselling process.

Key Point: 60% of the total seats available for B. Tech program will be reserved for North Eastern state(s) candidates and 40% seats will be filled through central counselling process.

MBA admission at Tezpur University will be conducted on the basis of the score obtained in CAT/MAT/ XAT/ ATMA/ GMAT or CMAT exams. Graduate degree holders in any specialization are eligible to apply. A final merit list will be prepared considering the performance of the candidates in qualifying degree, Entrance Test and Personal Interview.

M.Tech & MCA admission is based on marks in the entrance test conducted by Tezpur University. For M.Tech program, GATE qualified candidates will be exempted from the university entrance.

For MBA Program, the application form can be filled online on payment of INR 1000 (INR 500 for SC/ST/ PWD/ OBC) by Credit/ Debit Card or Net-Banking.

Key Point: For M.Tech in Electronics Design Technology, IT & Energy Technology, 5 seats are reserved for Sponsored candidates.

Tezpur University offers Integrated BA-B.Ed & B.Sc-B.Ed at UG level. It also offers B.Voc & B.Ed programs. Basic eligibility for Integrated & B.Voc programs is a pass in 10+2 in the relevant group. For B.Ed, a candidate must be a Graduate from a recognized university. The university conducts its own entrance test to offers admission in these courses.

Tezpur University offers admission to M. Sc., MA, MTTM, M.Com in various specializations to the with Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline. Integrated MA/ M.Sc and PG diploma courses are also offered in various specializations.

Students have to qualify Tezpur University Entrance Test to secure admission in these courses. Final admission is based on number of seats available followed by document verification.

Key Point: For M.Sc in Molecular Biology & Biotechnology, 10 seats will be filled through Tezpur University entrance and for the rest of the seats, score in Combined Entrance Test conducted by JNU will be considered.

Centre for Open & Distance Learning (CODL) offers MA & PG Diploma program in various specializations. The minimum eligibility is a UG degree from a recognized university. Admission is granted on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in their last qualifying examination followed by document verification.

How to Apply for Tezpur University CODL: Students are advised to apply for the courses offered by Distance Department of Tezpur University by following the given steps:

1. Visit & Register on the CODL portal of Tezpur University.
2. Select the course, fill the form and Upload photograph & Signature.
3. Save and Confirm all the details.
4. Pay the application fee online by Credit/ Debit Card or through NEFT (Net-Banking).

The university offers various Ph.D. programs in the School of Engineering, Humanities & Social Sciences, Management and Science. The minimum eligibility is a pass in Master’s degree in the relevant subject. The university will admit students under the categories of Full-Time, Part-Time, Sponsored and Project Fellows.

Admission is based on marks obtained in the written test followed by a Personal Interview. Final selection will be done considering the academic performance and overall performance in the Interview session. CSIR/ UGC JRF-NET qualified candidates need to appear only in the interview round.

Key Point: In each of the program offered by the university, 15%, 7.5% & 27% of the total seats are reserved for SC/ST & OBC category.
