IGNOU BA Economics 2024 for the January session has been started from December 15, 2023. The last date to apply is February 15, 2024. IGNOU offers a BA (Hons.) in Economics for a duration of 3  years. The maximum duration to complete the courses can be extended up to 6 years. Admission to the BA (Hons.) Economics program are generally conducted twice a year, i.e. January and July sessions. Candidates seeking admission to the program need to have at least 45% marks in the 10+2 examination. IGNOU BA Economics Course Details

Every program at IGNOU has a program code. The BA Economics is the Program Code for BA Economics (Honors).

• The course can be completed in a minimum time period of 3 years.
• The maximum period for completion of the program is 6 years.
• The BA Economics program has six semesters.
• The program has a total of 148 credits.
• One credit is equivalent to 30 hours of studying.

IGNOU BA Economics Fee Structure

The BA Economics Honors course of IGNOU is a semester-based program but the registration is done annually.

A total of INR 9,600 is to be paid for the entire course. The fees have to be paid only through the online mode.

IGNOU BA Economics Scholarships 

IGNOU offers scholarships to BA economics students under Government of India Scholarships. The scholarships are available for physically disabled students, and SC/ST students. 

However, the students have to pay the fee at the time of admissions. They can get scholarships by submitting the scholarship forms to the Directorate of the social Welfare or Office of the Social Welfare Officer of respective State Government through the concerned Regional Director of IGNOU.
