Eligibility Criteria
Any Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 (three) year duration from a recognized University AND Mathematics as one of the subject at 10+2 level or Graduation level. OR Any Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 (three) year duration from a recognized University AND doesn’t have Mathematics as one of the subject at 10+2 level or graduation level. These students are required to successfully complete BCS-012 (Graduate level Mathematics course) as Bridge Course
Course Details
IGNOU PGDCA admission 2024 for the January session has been started from December 15, 2023. The last date to apply is January 31, 2024 (Tentative). IGNOU PGDCA Assignments 2024
Assignments constitute continuous evaluation. The marks that you secure in the assignments will be counted in your final result. As mentioned earlier, an assignment of a course carries 30% weightage. You are therefore advised to take your assignment seriously.
Non Submission of Assignment
The TMA for each semester can be downloaded from the Student Zone of the University website. You have to complete the assignment within the due dates specified in the assignment booklet. You will not be allowed to appear for the term-end examination for any course if you do not submit the assignment in time for that course. If you appear in the term-end examination, without submitting the assignments, the result of the term-end examination is liable to be canceled.

IGNOU PGDCA Course Details
The PGDCA programme is a one year course that has been divided into two semesters. The first semester is from January to June, and the second semester is from July to December.
The examination is held twice a year, once in the month of June for the January-June semester, and another in the month of December, for the July- December semester course. Although the duration of the course is one year, it can be extended to a maximum duration of the course 4 years.
The course consists of 12 courses worth 36 credits. Students who did not have Mathematics as a subject in 10+2 level are required to pass the BCS-012 course simultaneously. The medium of instruction is English.

Is it difficult to do PGDCA from IGNOU?
One of my friends had a very bad experience in IGNOU. She applied for CCP which has 6 months of certification but the university allowed 2 years to complete it.
She wanted to complete the course within 6 months so she appeared on all the exams on time. She had to follow up with her professors for project work daily. After she did submit her project, they lost it. After 5-6 months the Delhi branch called to inform her that her project was not good enough. Apart from this episode, she shared more drawbacks she faced:

Out of 8-10 classes only 3 were conducted.

They took 6-7 months to inform her that the project wasn’t good.

She did not receive any books and had to get them personally by visiting the centre 4-5 times

They increased the fees suddenly in the second year
She scored 1st division in CCP but did not get the certificate for the same. So it’s not recommended for you to do PGDCA from IGNOU.
