NIT Kurukshetra Scholarship

NIT Kurukshetra offers a wide variety of scholarships for its 1st or subsequent year (2nd, 3rd, or final year) undergraduate/postgraduate students on the basis of merits obtained by them in the last qualifying examination as per the guidelines of the institute and Government of India. Some of the popular and famous scholarship schemes at NIT Kurukshetra are mentioned below:

Merit Scholarship:

  • The institute offers 26 Merit Scholarships in each academic year (2nd, 3rd, and 4th year) in each discipline of the respective programs. 
  • A student must have scored a minimum of 60% marks or more in the last qualifying semester/final semester. 

Merit Cum Means Scholarship:

  • The Merit Cum Means Scholarship is offered to the students of any year of UG programs at NIT Kurukshetra. 
  • In order to be eligible for Merit Cum Means Scholarship, a student should have an annual family income of less than INR 2,50,000 (excluding HRA). 
  • Also, a candidate must have scored a minimum of 60% marks or more in one attempt in the qualifying examination.

National Scholarship:

  • The National Scholarship is offered to the students who have secured a minimum of 60% marks in their last qualifying examination and have an annual family income of less than INR 2,50,000 (excluding HRA).
  • As a Scholarship award, boarders of the institute are granted INR 300 per month and INR 120 for the day scholars.

National Scholarship for children of School Teachers:

  • The National Scholarship is especially for the Children of working teachers in any recognized primary/secondary schools.
  • The applicants must have passed their last qualifying examination with 60% marks or first division.
  • Also, the annual family income should not exceed INR 2,50,000.

Post matric Scheduled Caste/ Tribe Scholarship:

  • The Post Matric SC/ST Scholarship is offered to the students of SC/ST categories whose annual family income is less than INR 2,50,000.
  • Boarders are awarded a sum of INR 425 per month and INR 190 per month to day scholars.

Alumni Association Scholarship:

  • The Alumni Association Scholarship is offered to the B.Tech students of NIT Kurukshetra in the departments of Civil, Mechanical, Electronics and Computer Science Engineering. 
  • 5 scholarships worth INR 2400 per annum are offered to the financially weak students of the NIT Kurukshetra B.Tech program.
  • To avail, the facility of Alumni Association Scholarship, the parents/guardians of the applicant should submit the required documents and an affidavit mentioning their income from all the sources.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

Fees for one semester are app 62000 it is only the tution fees. Scholarships are there if you are sc st or obc generally have a family income of less than 1 lakh tution fess is 0. If the family income is between 1 to 5 lakh tution fees will be 20500 only. I got placed in a private software development company

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

There is no fee hike policy in my college and the total fee for the course is 807000 for a general category with an annual income greater than 500000. The fees also depend on the category of the student and details are given on the official sites of NIT KKR.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

Fees structure is the same as all other government colleges, Scholarship opportunities are also available if the student belongs to an economically weaker section or they are from the sc/st category. Other financial aids are also available. Placements are something that fluctuate every year yet they have shown decent growth last few years but not that noticeable.

The fee structure here is okay I mean according to me a normal family can easily afford the fees but suppose if someone is not capable enough because of any reason they can also opt for a study loan which is very easy to get and can be repaid the loan once they get the job.

A fee hike is done for the new batches every year up to acceptable limits. The fee remains the same as charged in the first year for the upcoming years for a particular batch. Financial assistance is provided on the basis of family income as per following: UPTO 1LPA: 100% tuition fee waiver 1-5 LPA:66% tuition fee waiver Above 5LPA No tuition fee waiver For SC ST student 100% tuition fee waiver irrespective of family income Various scholarships are provided by institutes, government, alumni associations and other NGOs

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

There will be a 100% tuition fee waiver for SC/ST/PH students and the same is applicable for the students whose family income is less than 1 LPA. 1/3rd of the tuition fee is to be paid for the students whose family income lies between 1LPA and 5LPA. We have many scholarships like Merit-cum-Means Scholarships, Cental scholarships, and Alumni Scholarships.

Fees are around 76k per semester excluding mess fees which is 33k per semester. There are many relaxations including caste benefits. For SC/St fees are 16900Rs per semester. Students can opt for a Student loan.

The fee structure is very well designed.it is according to the income of the student's guardian. There are three categories. more than 5 lac, between 1 to 5 and less than 1 fee structure is so well designed that there is no need for a scholarship. campus placement is good for an upper branch.

Fees were classified on the basis of income, Above 5lakhs income, fees 2lakhs per year. Btw 1lac and 5lac- 80k. Below l lac- 30k. Scholarships opportunities were highly possible for only economically weaker students and there are some merit-based Scholarships.
