At the undergraduate level, Mumbai University offers BE, B.Tech courses in various fields. The university also offers BE in Lateral Entry and Part-Time modes. MHT CET qualified students can apply for admission to B.Tech/B.E.

Mumbai University B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

• 10+2 qualified students can apply for admission to the course.
• Minimum 45% marks should be secured in the final examination.

Mumbai University B.E (Part Time) Eligibility Criteria

• Students must have a diploma in Engineering in the relevant subject.
• Minimum 50% marks should be obtained in the qualifying examination.

Mumbai University B.Tech Selection Criteria

Admission to the course will be based on the marks secured in MHT CET conducted by DTE.

Mumbai University offers admission to the B.Arch. 10+2 qualified candidates will be eligible for admission to the courses. Selection to the courses will be based on the marks secured in NATA. The course is offered in General stream or with Interior Designing. The duration of the course is 5 years. 

Mumbai University B.Arch Eligibility Criteria

• Higher Secondary Examination qualified students will be eligible for admission.
• At Least 50% marks should be secured in the qualifying examination.
• 45% marks secured by the students belonging to the SC/ST category.

Mumbai University B.Arch Selection Criteria

Admission to the course will be based on the marks secured in NATA.

Mumbai University offers BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BMS, BSW, B.Li.Sc, BHM, B.Ed, B.P.Ed, LL.B, B.Pharm, BPA & BFA courses in various disciplines at UG level. 10+2 in the relevant subject group is the minimum eligibility criteria for these courses except for B.Ed, B.P.Ed and B.Li.Sc courses for which graduation is mandatory. The university also offers integrated (BA+MA), (BMS+MBA) and LL.B courses at the undergraduate level.

Admission to all the Mumbai University Courses is merit-based except for B.Sc (Hospitality and Nautical Science) for which the university conducts entrance tests. The university also conducts Drawing Test and Entrance Test for BFA and BMS courses respectively. Students have to qualify in MUCMET to secure admission in BMS+MBA.

Key Points:

• For Bachelor in Mass Media (BMM) & BMS courses, weightage of 50%, 25% and 25% will be given to Arts, Commerce and Science stream at the time of shortlisting of candidates.

Mumbai University M.Tech Eligibility Criteria

• B.E/B.Tech degree holders in relevant subjects can apply for admission to the M.E/M.Tech course. 
• Minimum 50% marks secured in the qualifying examination.

Mumbai University M.Tech Selection Criteria

Admission to the courses will be entirely based on the marks obtained in GATE. 

Mumbai University offers full-time MA, M.Com, M.Sc, MMS, MMM, MIM, MHRDM, MFSM, M.LI.Sc, M.Ed, MSW, M.P.Ed, LL.M, MFA & MPA courses in various specializations. Graduation in the relevant discipline is the minimum eligibility criteria for admission.

Admission to certain specializations of MA and M.Sc is offered on the basis of score in the university-based entrance tests while for others the admission is completely merit-based. For admission to MMS, LL.M, M.Mus and Master in Theatre Arts courses, the university conducts specific entrance tests. GATE passed candidates are eligible to apply for the MFSM program.

Key Points:

• Those who have completed their qualifying degree through Distance Mode need to have at least two years of full-time experience as a regular teacher, researcher, policy planner or administrator to secure admission to the M.Ed program.

LL.M Entrance Test Fee is INR 650 (INR 350 for SC/ST/PH). The fee can be paid in the form of DD drawn in favour of ‘Accounts and Finance Officer. University of Mumbai’ from any nationalized bank.

At postgraduate level, Mumbai University offers M.Pharm, M.Text, M.Arch and MCA courses in different disciplines. A bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline is the minimum eligibility criteria for admission. M.Text admission is offered on the basis of a good score in GATE.  M.Arch and MCA admission is granted on the basis of a valid score in MAH M.ARCH CET and MAH MCA CET score respectively.  GPAT passed candidates can apply for the M.Pharm program.

 At Research level, Mumbai University Ph.D. and D.Sc courses in various disciplines. Ph.D. admission is offered on the basis of a valid score in PET conducted by Mumbai University followed by an interview. PET for Ph.D. is conducted in two sessions every year, i.e, January-February and July-August. GATE/ NET/ SET/ CSIR/ ICAR/ JRF qualified candidates are also eligible to apply. For M.Phil, the candidates have to qualify in both Aptitude Test and Entrance Test.

Key Point: Only MA (Psychology) degree holders can apply for M.Phil (Psychology).

Mumbai University Ph.D. Application Process

2. Pay the application fee of INR 1000 by Credit/ Debit card or through Net-Banking.

 Note:  For M.Phil program, the application fee is INR 220 for the candidates belonging to Maharashtra (INR 320 for outside Maharashtra candidates).
