IIT Ropar B.Tech: Fees 2025, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

IIT Ropar BTech Admissions 2024 are expected to start in June 2024. The notification for JEE Main is expected to release soon. However, for now JEE Main Session 1 and Session 2 Exam dates has been released. JEE Main Session 1 & 2 exams will be conducted on January 24 - February 1, 2024 and April 1 - April 15, 2024 respectively.

IIT Ropar BTech Placements 2023 has been concluded. The IIT Ropar BTech 2023 Placements witnessed an average package of INR 20.99 LPA. The overall placement percentage offered to the outgoing BTech 2023 batch is 82.21%. For the 2023 Placements, 281 students registered and a total of 231 students get placed.

IIT Ropar B.Tech Cutoff 2023 (Released)

Admission to the BTech programme will be granted based on the cutoff marks for each specialisation of the BTech programme. IIT Ropar B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

At least one of the conditions must be satisfied for IIT Ropar admission in B.Tech:

• Candidates must have passed Class 12^th with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are compulsory subjects in the Board examination.
• Candidates must be within the category-wise top 20 percentile in their respective Class XII (or equivalent) board examination, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
• Candidates must be JEE Advanced qualified for both B.Tech and B.Tech+M.Tech admissions.

IIT Ropar B.Tech Selection Criteria

IIT Ropar admission 2024 includes the following selection criteria for the B.Tech program:

• IIT Ropar admission in B.Tech is on the basis of +2 Board exams along with JEE Advanced score based on merit list prepared by the institute.
• Students must also register themselves for JoSAA through which seats are allocated to eligible candidates.
• Female candidates from any category are eligible for 10 Percentile relaxation.

IIT Ropar B.Tech Course Details

The institute has launched a new curriculum for the B.Tech Program where students can choose between the below degree:

1. B. Tech. Basic, 
2. B. Tech. with Minor, 
3. B. Tech. with Concentration and 
4. B. Tech. with Honors

There are many courses to encourage hands-on learning like Technology Museum Lab, Tinkering Lab, Introduction to Engineering Products etc. The lab credits have also been increased relative to lecture credits.

The new curriculum will be more rigorous and formal in nature. The total credits have been reduced so that the students can get more time for preparation and self-study.
