LPU B.Des Course

Lovely Professional University offers a four-year full-time B.Des degree in five specializations. LPU B.Des course is divided into eight semesters. In addition to this, LPU also offers a B.Des (Lateral) program for the duration of 3 years. LPU offers B.Des to the candidates who have studied previous examinations in English or in the English medium. Candidates belonging to North-East States and Sikkim candidates and defense personnel will get a 5% relaxation. LPU provides international exposure of 4 weeks study tour to the USA or other European countries.

LPU B.Des Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for applying to the Lovely Professional University B.Des course, students need to fulfill certain eligibility criteria laid down by the admission authority as given below:

Students must have passed the 10+2 examination with English as one of the subjects or in English medium with at least 50% marks from recognized boards.
5% relaxation is given to candidates belonging to North-East states and Sikkim candidates. Also, defense personnel and Kashmiri migrations are given relaxation.
Candidates are given scholarships on the basis of their performance in the LPUNEST or UCEED entrance exam.
LPU accepts merit in LPUNEST/ UCEED/ NID-UG/ NIFT-UG/ NIFT B.Ftech for giving admission to B.Des programs.

LPU B.Des Admission 2024

Follow the below mentioned are the steps to apply for admission:

Step 1: Signup

Register onto LPUADMIT with basic details (Name, Email ID, Mobile No., State, Gender and Password). Your email id will act as your username for the portal and the password will be set by you while registering on the portal.
You will get a mail on your registered email id regarding this.
Login to the LPUADMIT with an already created username/ password.

Step 2: Apply for LPUNEST

LPUNEST is an online entrance test conducted to offer admission to programs you are interested in.
Deposit the test fee:
The application form and a soft copy of the LPUNEST Kit cost INR 1000 (for boys) and INR 500 (for girls).
The cost of the application form and the printed LPUNEST kit is INR 1500 (for boys) and INR 1000 (for girls).
Fill out the test application form.

Step 3: Book the exam slot

Book the slot (preferred date and time) to appear in the LPUNEST Exam.
Appear and qualify for the exam.

Step 4: Result and Seat Allotment (Online Counselling)

Get your scorecard/ rank.
Download the allotment letter and proceed for admission within 7 days after the declaration of the result.

Step 5: Admission

Deposit initial payment of INR 10,000. After the successful realization of the payment.
A Provisional Registration Number will be produced and sent to the email address you provided.
Upload the required documents.
The balance fee must be charged within the university's deadlines.

LPUNEST Exam Pattern

LPUNEST is a Computer-based test that consists of 100 Multiple Choice Questions, which are to be solved within 2 hours 30 minutes. Candidates will be awarded 2 marks for every correct answer and every incorrect answer there will be no negative marking. 0 marks are awarded/deducted for unattempted questions. Format of LPUNEST exam will be MCQ based in which for a question four choices are given out of which one is correct. The below-mentioned table shows the name of the sections:

LPU has a better placement record than IMS Ghaziabad. According to the LPU placement report 2023, 100% BCA batch got placed. The highest salary package offered to the LPU BCA students was INR 34.24 LPA during that year.

According to the IMS Ghaziabad placement report 2022, around 25% of students in the BCA program got placed, and the highest salary package offered to the BCA students was INR 10 LPA.

LPU offers BCA, BCA Hons, and BCA Big Data Analytics in a tie-up with IBM. This offers a great industrial exposure to students.
