Introduction

B.Tech. Information Technology or B.Tech (IT) is an undergraduate academic degree offered in India which focuses mainly on computers and technology. It is generally a 4 year course and the minimum eligibility required for this course is an intermediate or 10+2 from a recognized board or university.

B.Tech. Information Technology is offered by many private and public colleges in India. You have to study minimum of 5 subjects during the course of the program. Tuition fee for B.Tech (IT) may range from 30, 000 to 50,000 in government colleges. The fee structure may vary among the government and private institutions.

A fresher holding a B.Tech (IT) degree can expect a salary between Rs. 15000 to Rs. 30000 every month. Duration of B. Tech (IT)

• Regular Mode- The minimum duration to finish the course in regular mode is 4 years and maximum is 6-7 years.
• Distance learning Mode- The minimum duration to finish the course in distance learning mode is 4 years and maximum is 6-8 years.

B. Sikkim Quota: 20% of the seats are reserved for candidates selected by Govt. of Sikkim, with concession of 75% of the Tuition fee. The fee structure after concession of Sikkim Quota are as follows (Yearly Fee):

• Lump sum: Rs. 1,91,000
• Instalments
  • First: Rs. 99,000
  • Second: Rs. 99,000

Note:

• The course fee will remain same for subsequent years. However, Caution Deposit (Refundable after completion of course) of Rs. 5,000/- which is not included in above table is to be paid at the time of admission along with applicable course fees
• Course Fee includes Tuition fee, laboratory fee, exam fees and other fees.
