My rank was a reason behind choosing biotechnology. The brief student-teacher ratio is roughly 1:14. The faculty is mostly highly qualified and has a Ph.D. but the teaching methods like any other college professor can be improved. The exams occur at an interval of 2 months per semester.
As I belong to the PCMB background, I have to study all the subjects to get past the boards but however I'm more interested in maths so, that's why I took Jee and biotechnology. The faculty-student ratio is about 1:10 and all the faculties were highly qualified from different very big universities abroad. So, it will take a medium effort to get a pass.
UG Btech: The ug program at NIT Durgapur typically have a well-structured curriculum that includes a mix of core courses, elective and practical labs. The curriculum is designed to provide with a strong foundation in their chosen field of engineering
As per my JEE rank, I got Biotechnology in NIT Durgapur and it is totally based on your JEE rank and choice filling. The faculties are very good in the Biotechnology department if we talk about the faculties and students ratio it's nearly 1/6. All the faculties of NIT Durgapur are well educated, they all have completed their Ph.D., and their teaching methods are very good, NIT Durgapur conducts two exams each semester i.e. Mid-semester eaxm and End-semester exam and these exams difficulty level is moderate and predictable.
I chose Biotechnology for my interest in culturing bioscience and moving into the research field. The faculties are highly qualified and most of them have done doctorates from well-known universities. Term exams are conceptual and little hard work can fetch good marks.
The course curriculum is quite good with moderate pressure throughout the semesters except for a few semesters difficulty level is high varying with branches in various semesters. Faculty members are very good with high qualifications and very efficient in their respective fields. The teaching methods of faculty vary. some are quite good but some make the classes too boring. The faculty and student ratio is 1:4.
I got Biotechnology due to my rank. The faculty-to-student ratio is good here. The faculties are well qualified as most of them are from NITS, Iits, and IITS. They teach on blackboard only, few of them use projectors. There is one mid-term exam and one-semester exam each semester.
The faculty-to-student ratio is great and won't face any shortage of teaching staff. There are ample facilities for teaching and for proper learning of the students The faculties are highly qualified. Exams in a semester consist of Mids, CA, and End-term.
I chose this course as I like biotechnology. The faculty is very supportive. They Like to teach us and solve all queries. If attendance <75% , one grade dedication If attendance <50% , Two grades deduction If attendance is <25%, not eligible to sit in the exam Sometimes it depends on professors but try to maintain at least 60-65% attendance.
I like to get higher studies regarding biotechnology. Faculty and students ratio is quite a ratio. All the faculties are quite highly educated from top IITs or from the best abroad universities. Each semester is 4 to 5 months and contains 15 marks CA, 25 marks mid-semester and 60 marks end semester
