Kalyani University offers a four-semester programme for the Master Of Science (M.Sc.) degree specialized in various subjects namely Botany, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Mathematics, Microbiology, Physics, Physiology, Zoology, Statistics, Education, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology & Biotechnology, Biophysics, Geography and Environmental Management.

The university also offers a five-year Integrated Master of Science programme comprising a total of 160 credits.

M.Sc. Course Structure 

Categories of Course

The M.Sc. programme involves the following components:

• Core Courses (To give a broad base in the main field of study in the academic programme)
• Elective Courses (Supportive to the discipline of study / Providing an expanded scope / Enabling an exposure to some other discipline) 
• Foundation Courses
