Amity University Mumbai offers Full-time & Part-time research (Ph.D.) programs of 3 years and 4 ½ years respectively. The Admission intake for the Ph.D. program happens twice a year for both January and July sessions.

• The maximum duration for completion of the program is 6 years. 
• A Master’s degree in the relevant field is the minimum requirement to be eligible for Ph.D. admission.
• Candidates must clear the Ph.D. Eligibility Test (PET) and Interview conducted by the University. The admission application process is only Online.

Amity University Mumbai Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

Candidate interested in taking admission to the Ph.D. program (full-time / Part-time) at Amity University, Mumbai must have obtained the below-mentioned qualifications:

• Candidates must clear the Ph.D. Eligibility Test (PET) and Interview conducted by the Amity University, Mumbai.
• The candidate must have completed a full time 2 years Masters / M.Phil course with 55% marks or equivalent grade (Not applicable for Engg & tech)
• For a Ph.D. in Engineering & Technology, the candidate must have completed M.Tech / M.E / M.S with a minimum of 6.0 CGPA or 60% marks.
• For Ph.D. in Law, the candidate must have completed a master's degree or M.Phil in law with a minimum of 55% marks.
• Foreign / NRI candidates holding master’s degree from a foreign university while applying through an online application form must submit an equivalence certificate of AIU
• Candidates who have cleared Chartered Accountancy (CA) from ICAI / ICWAI / ICSI with 55% marks are eligible in the relevant field.
• Candidates who have passed an AINLC exam like NET of UGC/CSIR/ICAR (ASRB)/GPAT/ICMR/GATE/DST within the last two years shall be exempted from writing the Ph.D. Eligibility Test (PET).

Candidates seeking admission in the Ph.D. program at Amity University, Mumbai must clear the Ph.D. Eligibility Test and Interview conducted by the University. The admission Application form must be submitted only through an online portal with all mandatory required documents. Online payment of INR 1100/- must be made.

• Upload all the mandatory scanned documents.
• Now submit the Application form

• Class X, XII, Post-graduate mark sheets (All semesters)
• Preliminary research idea (maximum 1000 words)
