Amazing faculty to student ratio experienced and well qualified faculty they have amazing knowledge so they can make learning more fun and can teach in details.
It is enjoyable life here in this campus.the hostel is very comfortable for anything like festivals , occasions and ceremonies.
Placement scenario here is good one can easily secure a seat in good company

The hostel mess food okay but sometimes its so bad !!
In this fee all your dress, uniform hostel mess books are included unfortunately there is no scholarship given by the campus, you can apply it for other means
I mostly dislike the food of the mess i don't its not healthy i think.

Indian Maritime University (IMU), Kolkata was recognized as a central university in the year 2008, under the Ministry of Shipping, GOI. IMU Kolkata Admission

Admission to UG and PG courses is done on the basis of cut-off in IMU-CET entrance examination conducted by the university. Admission criteria for B.Tech. Marine Engineering is minimum of 60% marks in PCM and minimum of 50% in English in 10+2 and have qualified IMU-CET. Admission criteria for M.Tech. Marine Engineering and Management is 60% marks in BE/B.Tech. in Marine Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Naval Architecture and have qualified IMU-CET. Admission criteria for MBA International Transportation & Logistics Management is 50% marks in graduation and qualified IMU-CET. Admission into other short-term courses will be based on the strict technical capabilities of the candidates as mandated by the university from time to time.

Hostel and Mess- There are separate hostels for girls and boys with facilities like T.V. rooms, mess, and study rooms. Hostels have an intake capacity of more than 800.
Medical facility- 24 * 7 medical facilities are available for the students in the campus.
Ship- The institute is home to a ship with a marine propulsion engine to provide hands on training to the cadets.
