IIIT Pune BTech Admissions 2024 registrations are going on. IIIT Pune BTech Admissions 2023 are based on the JEE Main scores followed by JoSAA counseling. JoSAA has released 1-6 rounds of cutoff 2023 and seat allotment for IIIT Pune BTech programs. 2 more special rounds of seat allotments will be released by CSAB. The CSAB- Special Round-I has been announced on August 08. Special Round II seat allotments will be declared on August 13.

JEE Mains registration period will begin on November 1, 2023, and will end on November 30, 2023. IIIT Pune BTech Eligibility Criteria

  • Students must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with an aggregate of 60% in the PCM stream.
  • Students must be passed from well-recognized board.
  • For SC/ST students the aggregate mark is 50% in their class 12th examination.
  • Students must clear the cut-off of the entrance exams.
  • Selection to the B.Tech program is based on the ranks secured by the candidates in the JEE Main entrance examination followed by the JoSAA counseling process. After all the rounds of JoSAA (rounds 1-6) are out, CSAB counseling takes place. CSAB releases 2 special rounds of seat allotment for IIIT Pune BTech admissions 2023.
  • Admission is based on the student's JEE rank.

How to apply at IIIT Pune?

IIITP accepts applications exclusively online. The JEE Main website is where interested candidates must go to complete the online application. To be enrolled for seat allocation, students who receive a valid JEE Main rank must visit the JoSAA website. At the time of registration, individuals must also select IIIT Pune as their first choice. Following document verificaenrolland payment of the requisite fees, candidates assigned to IIIT Pune are permitted to enrol.

IIIT Pune BTech Course Details 

Curriculum:

The curriculum focuses on training the students in problem-solving, critical thinking, and innovation. In upcoming years students also become familiar with core knowledge such as programming, algorithms, data structure, etc. The whole program is designed in such a way that students can go hand in hand with the latest trend.

Computer Science and Engineering

  • Students have a total of 19 and 22 credits in the first and second semesters respectively.
  • Students are given a strong foundation in CSE that includes electronics and hardware, problem-solving, critical thinking, etc. Computer science courses are introduced in the early semesters.
  • IT Workshops are specially designed courses meant to impart mastery in the use of the latest software technologies by the third semester
  • In the second year they have total of 21 and 23 credits in the third and fourth semesters respectively.
  • In the third year students have total of 22 and 24 credits for the fifth and sixth eighthters respectively
  • In the fourth year students have a total of 19 and 16 credits for the seventh and eight semesters respectively

Electronics and Communication Engineering 

  • ECE courses like electronics, NFirst-yearis, logic design, and embedded systems are introduced in the early semesters.
  • In first year students have a total of 19 and 22 credits for the first and second semesters respectively.
  • In the second year students have total of 21 and 23 credits for the third and fourth semesters respectively.
  • Electronics Workshops are specially designed courses intended to give students hands-on experience in electronic circuit design in the third and fourth semesters.
  • In the third year students have a total of 23 and 13 credits for the fifth and sixth semesters respectively.
  • Advanced courses and electives in later years enable students to specialize in cthe ommunications, signal proca essingof , robotics, VLSI, embethe dded systemeighthd semestersreams.
  • In fourth year students have total 19 and 16 credits for seventh and eight semester respectively.

The syllabus for BTech CSE includes subjects like, Data Structure, Digital Logic Design, Computer Networks, AI, IoT, etc., which also includes subjects like Humanity, Entrepreneurship, and Environmental studies. For ECE the subjects are VLSI, Basic Electronics, Signals and systems, Microelectronics, Microwave antenna, Embedded systems, etc.
