SRM University, Andhra Pradesh invites applications for a full-time Ph.D. degree program in arts, science, engineering as well as in management sciences. The applications for admission into Ph.D. programs are invited throughout the year. There is no last date for the applications, however, the selection process will take place four times a year (Jan, April, Aug, and Nov). 

SRM University Ph.D. Key Highlights

  • All Ph.D. programs are for a minimum duration of three years, including coursework, and a maximum of five years. 
  • The ph.D. program is available for only candidates, who pursue full-time research at SRM University, Andhra Pradesh.
  • Selected Ph.D. students will receive a fellowship of INR 20000/pm. 
  • SRM University will financially support the participants of national/international conferences.

SRM University Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have completed a Master's degree or a professional degree with at least 60% marks.

SRM University Ph.D. Admission Criteria

  • Candidates need to qualify one of the entrance exams listed below:

UGC-NET (Lectureship and JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF), NBHM, DBT-NET, ICMR-NET, ICAR-NET.

  • SRM conducts entrance tests for those who haven’t appeared for one of the above exams.
  • Candidates need to qualify for the test with 60%.
  • Shortlisted candidates have to go through an interview/viva-voce.

Ans. Yes. Students staying on campus will be provided accommodation at highly subsidized rates.

Ques. Does SRM University provide relaxation for reserved category students?

Ans. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC differently-abled/ migrants of North Eastern states and Jammu & Kashmir will receive relaxation of 5% of marks, or an equivalent relaxation of grade

Ques. Does SRM University provide relaxation in Ph.D. duration?

Ans. Yes. The women candidates and Persons with Disabilities (more than 40% disability) are allowed a relaxation of two years for a Ph.D. in the maximum duration.

Ques. Can women candidates apply for maternity leave during Ph.D. duration at SRM University?

Ans. Women candidates are provided Maternity Leave / Child Care Leave once in the entire duration of Ph.D. for up to 240 days.
