I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University Mohali Campus Admission 2023: B.Tech, BCA

The Mohali campus of The IKGPTU currently offers only B.Tech program in Computer Science and Engineering in full time mode for four years. 

The minimum eligibility for admission into the BTech program at the I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University is completion of 10+2 examination from a board recognized by a central or state government.

Additionally, students must also pass the said examination with Physics and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects paired with any one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, any technical vocational subject.

Candidates with a valid Diploma from any recognized institute or a two-year certificate from SLIET, Punjab will also be considered for admission.

I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University Selection Criteria

• Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the JEE Main examination. Candidates with permanent residence in the state of Punjab will enjoy the home state quota for admission.
• They must visit the official JoSAA Website and login using JEE Main Application Number and Password.

• Start filling the preferred colleges and specialization with the list available alongside. 
• Fill the choices of various subjects from IKGPTU, click on ‘Choice Filling & Locking’ and fill enough choices

• After filling candidates will have to lock their options by clicking on “I agree to lock my choices”.
• Take a print out of selected options for further use.
• Based on the courses selected in the order of preference, seats available in each branch and cut off, candidates will be alloted with the seat. 
• They need to move ahead further to the institute for the complete procedure of admission. 
• If there are still vacancies after exhausting all the aforementioned candidates, students will be admitted based on their performance at the 10+2 level.

I K Gujral Punjab Technical University also offers BCA program for three years in full time mode. 

For admission to the first year of the BCA course at the I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University, students will have to pass 10+2 boards examination from any recognized board with any combination of subjects. 

Students with technical diplomas will also be considered for admission and they will be able to join the program directly in the second year through the lateral entry scheme.

• All students who have applied for the BCA course at the I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University will be selected based on their performance in the qualifying exam.
• All the standard reservation as per the norms of the government of India will be applicable.
