Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • Applicants for the Master's degree must have a Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) in life science, and have had a course in genetic from a recognized university.
  • Either prior to admission or during their programs, students must complete a course in each of the following categories:
    • plant systematics or plant diversity
    • plant physiology, cell biology or molecular biology
    • plant ecology or environmental science
  • A course in plant morphology or plant anatomy is strongly recommended.
  • A GPA of 2.7 (on a grading scale with 4.0=A) on the last two years of Bachelor's coursework is required.
  • A GPA of 3.0 on all previous graduate work (approximately a B average) is required.
  • Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTSTOEFL, or PTE scores. 

Indian Student Eligibility:

  • Students must complete a 4-year undergraduate degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
  • Students need to have a minimum of first-class or upper Second with a minimum of 60% on an institutional basis.
