The MBA program at Vancouver Island University is accredited by the ACBSP (Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs). This intensive program is offered for a duration of 20 months. 

The program curriculum covers courses in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, Research and Technology. Students are required to complete 12-15 credits each semester. 

Upon successful completion of program coursework, students need to opt for an internship for 4 months. For the applied business project, students will work with an industry mentor to identify an organizational problem under faculty supervision.

The full-time MBA program offers admission in January and September intake. August 5, 2022, is the deadline to apply for January 2023 entry to VIU MBA.

The university had a co-op element, well-accredited, and economic living arrangements. I also had a few people from my network who did this program so I had some assurance. The program was designed for working professionals since I had work ex and have done a master's before I was more inclined towards this program. Also, their dual-degree option with their Partnered University from the UK was a great incentive to join.
