JEE Main

The application fee for taking this exam varies with the type of candidature. The application fee for the general category is INR 325. The following section throws light on the requirements and the process of registration for JEE Main.

Documents Required

• Scanned and recent photograph coloured or black/white (but clear contrast) JPG/JPEG format. Size should be between 10 kb to 200 kb.
• Scanned signature in JPG/JPEG format. Size should be between 4 kb to 30 kb.
• Application forms with unclear photographs will be rejected. 

How to Register?

• Visit the official website of JEE Main and click on “Fill Online Application Form”.
• Register by giving the required details, to generate a new user id and password.
• The application number will be generated once the details for registration are submitted.
• The form requires personal details, address, and mobile number.
• You can set your security question and password to access the application for the future.
• Submit the application form by logging in with the same user id and password that you had set.

The following documents would be required if applying for B.E. admissions:

• JEE Main Admit Card/ Hall Tickets.
• Proof of gallantry award (C.T.C. of Part II Order / Citation / Gazette Notification) clearly specifying the Gallantry nature of the award. 
• Proof of age as in the Mark Sheet of SSC/Class 10/ equivalent examination.
• Proof of eligibility in respect of the following categories as applicable:
  • Ward of serving Army personnel or of a regular Army pensioner (Submit Certificate No 1). 
  • Ward of an ex-Army personnel granted pension benefits (Submit Certificate No 1). 
  • Ward of ex-Army personnel who has taken discharge or released after ten years of service (Submit Certificate No 1). 
  • Adopted child of an Army personnel (Submit Certificate No 2). 
  • Ward of Army personnel (Submit Certificate No 2). 
  • Ward of an ex-AMC/ADC Officer (Submit Certificate No 3).
  • Ward of an APS Personnel (Submit Certificate No 3).

Only one specialization is offered in M.E.- Mechanical Engineering Design at the Army Institute of Technology, Pune. It is a full-time 2-year course that offers only 18 seats for admission.

How to Apply?

The applications are accepted through the official website of GOAPS. Where the applicant must register first to create a new registration using one unique email id. 

Documents/Certificates Required

• Scanned photograph and signature 
• Valid Photo ID (Aadhaar Card/Passport/Driving License/PAN Card/Voter ID/College ID/Employee Identification Card/Notarized Affidavit with Photo, Signature, Date of Birth and Residential Address).
• Degree Certificate/Provisional Certificate/Course Completion Certificate.
• Copy of mark sheet of V /VI /VII semester.
• Final year students must submit Provisional Certificate Letter as per format issued by the Home of Institute/Dean/Registrar/Head of Dept.
• Candidates in the final year of AMIE have to submit their mark sheet for Section A of AMIE in case of professional equivalent qualifications.
• Caste Certificate/Disability or PwD Certificate (if applicable).
• Candidates pursuing a higher degree or masters have to submit the qualifying degree certificate.

How to Apply?

Applicants can apply via the official website- www.aitpune.com. A DD of INR 1,000 is payable on application submission, drawn in the favour of Director, Army Institute of Technology.

Admissions are offered as per the merit list prepared on the basis of the GATE scores. 

The eligibility and guidelines of Savitribhai Phule University and DTE, Maharashtra are followed.

The following scholarships are offered to Army personnel’s wards:

• Hashman Scholarship: INR 15,000 is offered to 10 meritorious students having no backlogs and having a 7.0 GPA in the last university exam. Wards of divorcees/widows, martyrs, etc. can also apply.
• Udchalo Scholarship: 32 scholarships worth INR 4,00,000 are offered to meritorious students of Army Institute of Technology.
• Horizon Scholarship: Deserving and needy wards of JCO’s are offered INR 15,000 each to 10 such students. While 2 girl child are offered INR 25,000 each on Army Institute of Technology Day.
