Vishwakarma institute of technology offers a Ph.D. program in six different engineering streams, such as Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication, Industrial & Production Engineering. 

• Admission to its Ph.D. course is offered on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the written test and the personal interview, conducted by the institute. 
• To be eligible for admissions, candidates must have completed their Master's degree in a relevant stream with a minimum of 55% marks as an aggregate.

Candidates seeking admission into the Ph.D. course must have a Master's degree in one of the six streams with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent. 

VIT Pune Ph.D. Admission Guidelines

• Admission to the Ph.D. course is based on a Written Test conducted by the institute, followed by a Personal Interview round. Candidates doing well in both rounds will be offered admission into the course.
• Candidates who have a valid GATE/NET/SET/SLET scorecard will be exempted from the Written Test.

How to Apply?

• Visit the official website of The Directorate of Technical Education ( DTE ) Maharashtra. 
• Fill the online form with appropriate information and submit it along with application fees.
• Candidates need to pay the application fee online through online banking/debit card/credit card etc. The application fee is INR 1000 and, for other backward class categories, it is INR 800.
• Institute will examine the application form and ask candidates to appear for the written test and interview. 
• After the written exam and interview, the institute will make a merit list based on marks in the qualifying exam and written test and interview.
• Selected candidates will be asked to present for the final admission process.
