Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce is one of the notable colleges of Commerce stream in the entire Delhi University. The institute provides UG, PG, Diploma & Certification courses. Students can also opt for additional courses from the add-on courses of the college. All these courses are offered under the faculties of Commerce, Economics, English, Mathematics, etc. The college offers undergraduate programmes for 3 years, PG programmes for 2 years and the diploma and certificate programmes for 1 year.

Admission to UG courses is based on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) followed by e-counseling. Candidates seeking admission to PG courses are required to appear for the CUET PG.

Established in 1984 Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce is funded by the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee and affiliated to the Delhi University.

Besides the regular courses the college is also a Centre for Non Collegiate Women Education Board and School of Open Learning. It has a strength of more than 2000 students and a faculty strength of about 90. Sri Guru Gobind Singh College Admission Process 2023

Sri Guru Gobind Singh college admission process is completely online. Candidates seeking admission are required to apply online on the official website. Admission to UG courses is done on the basis of CUET scores followed by e-counseling. Candidates need to pass their 10th and 12th class with 40 percent marks in total to be eligible for UG courses provided. The program-specific eligibilities vary from course to course.

The marks obtained by the candidate in CUET will be considered for computing the total marks according to the Program-Specific combinations of subjects for deciding merit and granting admissions in the undergraduate programs. Merit will be based only on the ‘combination of subjects in which a candidate has appeared in CUET 2023’ as mentioned in the respective Program-Specific Eligibility.

PG admissions are done through CUET PG. There total 75 programs for PG courses which is been provided by Delhi University. As per the DU admission policy, 50% of seats will be reserved for DU students, while admission to the 50% seats will be provided through CUET PG. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply for PG courses through the CUET PG entrance exam.

Sri Guru Gobind Singh College Application Process

Candidates who wish to enroll for the UG courses are required to apply for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) whereas candidates who wish to apply for the PG course are required to apply for the CUET PG.

CUET application process

Candidates applying for UG courses in Sri Guru Gobind Singh College can follow the following steps in order to register for the CUET:

Candidates must visit the official CUET website - cuet.samarth.ac.in.
Upon opening the website candidates will find the ‘Register’ tab, they must click on it.
After reading and understanding the information provided, candidates must hit the ‘Proceed’ button.
After this, candidates will be directed to the application form. Candidates must fill in the required details carefully.
After filling the necessary details candidates will have to upload important documents such as signature, photograph, marksheet, etc. Candidates must upload all the required documents.
Candidates need to pay the application fee at the time of submitting the form or else the Online Application Form will not be considered.
After submitting the fee, candidates print out the form and save a hard copy for future references.
Candidates can login to their portals for any new updates, college cutoffs and so forth.

Candidates who wish to enroll for the Sri Guru Gobind Singh College PG application process in college can follow the steps mentioned below to apply for the CUET PG examinations:

Candidates must register at PG admission portal with their email address and fill the registration form
Once the form is submitted candidates will receive a confirmation email with a verification link. Candidates must click on the link in order to verify themselves

Sri Guru Gobind Singh College Facilities

Library: The library of the college is fully air conditioned and computerised. The library includes more than 50,000 books, 490 journals, 850 CDs in various subjects. It also has subscriptions to 27 newspapers, 35 journals and magazines.
Sports: SGGSCC provides both indoor and outdoor games facilities. The college has a cricket, basketball and volleyball court. The college organises Sahibzada Ajit Singh Cricket Tournament in December and January every year.
Computer Lab: The college offers four computer labs which include 140 computers. Along with the PC's SGGSCC also provides database software packages, several language processors etc. The software includes the licensed versions of the latest packages, that's visual studio (visual basic, visual C++, visual FoxPro), Jbuilder, Oracle, Tally, Dbase etc. and also the language compilers, viz. turbo C, turbo C++, Java, Qbasic etc.
Hostel: The college provides hostel facilities for both boys and girls. Guru Gobind Singh and Mata Sahib Kaur are the hostel names which are provided by the SGGSCC.

Campus life is not like north campus or south campus but Ggs has the best environment and facilities.
I like the placements records and best is our infrastructure the people are also great in our college as i discussed before.
Campus Life here is great, giving one of the best exposure.
It has an auditorium of its own, a well furnished conference hall, a seminar hall, clean coridoors and classrooms.
Every year large number of students get offer letters from different companies.

Dislike

I will say that the college is poor in terms of replacement compared to the other colleges.
Scholarship, however, Sikhs get an additional 5% relaxation in the cut-off. There is no loan facility. Moreover, due to the nominal government fee of Rs.45 per quarter, there is no need for any loan.
There is a newly constructed hostel which has just been opened by the college

I took the cuet entrance exam and scored 670 marks out of 800. Delhi university conducts a cuet exam every year and you can register on du website its application fee is 1300. I was from the reserved category of the Sikh minority and if you are a Sikh, you can get a Sikh minority certificate certified from dsgmc.
