About Guwahati College of Architecture and Planning
Guwahati College of Architecture and Planning, or GCAP, was founded in 2006 by Dona Foundation. The college offers three courses in architecture and interior designing namely, Bachelor of Architecture, Master of Planning (Urban and regional planning), and Bachelor in Interior Designing. The college has been ranked 2nd in the eastern region with an All India Rank of 21. GCAP ranked 22nd in Top Architecture Colleges in India by Times of India, 2020.
Candidates can apply for any of the three courses by applying to the principal of the given college in a prescribed form which can be downloaded from their official website. Admissions to the courses will be provided solely based on merit and entrance examinations.

- Classrooms - The classrooms are furnished with audiovisual digital media. Commencing from the second year of the course, students are made familiar with digital drawing studios, keeping GCAP at par with any National level Institute.
- Library - A well-equipped fully air-conditioned library consisting of a versatile array of Textbooks, Reference books, Journals, CD’s relevant to Architecture and all other fields like Design, Scientology, Biographies, General Knowledge, etc is available.
- Material Library - The material Library comprises samples of various building materials, small-scale models of sanitary fixtures and fittings, and such other materials utilized in construction.
- Workshops – The college organizes multiple workshops such as carpentry, modern page making workshops, etc.
- Computer laboratory – It provides students with the opportunity to master various software such as AUTOCAD, Page Maker, 3-D modeling software, etc.
- Auditorium – It has a seating capacity of 500.
- Sports – Facilities for Indoor games include carrom, table tennis, chess, etc. Outdoor games include cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, etc.
