M.Phil. in Hindi: Eligibility

The minimum eligibility for admission to M.Phil in Hindi is Masters in Hindi with at least 55%. The masters should have been done from a recognized college. While almost all of the colleges require 55% in post graduation for the application process, Jawaharlal Nehru University offers admission to students who have acquired 50% marks in Post Graduation. Yet this criteria is applicable only for permission to attempt the entrance test.

Students who qualify the eligibility criterion are supposed to go through the entrance tests which are conducted by most of the universities in various forms.

The admission procedure in colleges is mostly based on merit-cum-aptitude tests. Most of the colleges arrange entrance test and interview for admission in M.Phil. in Hindi. The students are given admission on the basis of written test and interview along with their previous educational qualifications.

Direct Admission

As it is an advanced professional degree, direct admission is not available in regular colleges. Even if a student has acquired distinction in Masters in Hindi, they still are required to appear for the entrance test. Entrance Admission

Almost all colleges arrange an entrance test for selecting candidates for M.Phil. in Hindi program. The entrance test comprises a written test and an interview which is based on the course of interest opted. The criterion for the entrance test is 55% marks in Masters in Hindi. The merit list is prepared on the educational qualifications and result of the written exam and interview.

The entrance test paper may contain both objective and subjective type questions. Selection Process
