Doctoral candidates will conduct their scientific research at institutes for the following fields of study: Agribusiness, Plant Production, Livestock Sciences, Economics and Social Sciences in Agriculture, Resource Management. They concentrate on the basic principles of the natural sciences, production technology, and the economic and social structure of agriculture as well as the current and future state of agricultural production and its effects on society, economy, and environment. They deliver the scientific fundaments for the analysis of development in the agricultural sector and make an important contribution to securing nourishment and the development of rural areas on the basis of sustainable production systems.

The semester fees comprise administration fees, student body fees, and a Student union fee. The summer semester fee totals $476.54 for 2021. While the Winter semester fee totals $470.43 for 2021. So the yearly fee for attending this program is $946.97.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Agricultural Sciences, Biology, Geography or related fields.
- Proof of achievements in agricultural sciences, forest sciences or environmental sciences, life or natural science, plant science, animal science, resource or ecosystem management, mathematics, computer science, economics, or social sciences in scope of at least 120 credits (ECTS credits) in total.
- The degree should be obtained with a minimum final grade of “good”
Indian Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Adequate knowledge of English must be demonstrated with standardized or accredited certificates at a minimum B2 level or higher in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This can be done by proving English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
- Applicants, whose native language is not German and who have neither a German university entrance qualification nor have obtained a Bachelor's or equivalent degree in a degree program in German from a German university, will provide proof of this in accordance with the examination regulations for the German Language Examination for University Entrance (DSH) for prospective foreign applicants by passing the examination with a total score of DSH-2.
