Tuition Fees
The University of Greifswald does not demand a typical tuition fee. Students have to pay 82 USD per semester as Semester contribution and 107 USD once as enrolment fee.
The latest findings in political theory, comparative political science, and international politics are taught in small courses. In addition to broad content training, the students are introduced to independent research in 2 method modules and can set their own priorities (eg "Independent Studies"). Internships and stays abroad can be integrated into the study program.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
A first professional qualification (usually a bachelor's degree) and proof of at least 65 credit points in the study of a political science course are required.
Prior to commencing studies, students will be required to provide proof of German language proficiency. The following certificates are recognized by the University of Greifswald for applications to a full degree course:
- the ‘Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang ausländischer Studienbewerber’ (DSH) at least level 2*
- the ‘Deutsche Sprachdiplom der Kultusministerkonferenz’ (level 2)
- the Goethe-Zertifikat C2 from the Goethe Institute
- the ‘Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache’ (Test DaF), at least level 4 in all partial examinations*
- the certificate ‘telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule’
- a completed degree in German Studies, an assessment test with German as an examination subject.
