Master of Science [M.S] (Biochemistry)
Field of Study:
The subject of biochemistry is aimed specifically at students who are interested in the border area between chemistry, biology, and medicine. The course is realized in cooperation between the Institute of Biochemistry, the Department of Biology and institutes of the Faculty of Medicine. The range of courses ensures that students receive high-quality training that does justice to the growing importance of biochemical and biotechnological processes for the environment, medicine, and business.

Tuition Fees
The University of Greifswald does not demand a typical tuition fee. Students have to pay 82 USD per semester as Semester contribution and 107 USD once as enrolment fee.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
- A first professionally qualifying university degree in biochemical bachelor's programs is required.
- Prior to commencing studies, students will be required to provide proof of German language proficiency. The following certificates are recognized by the University of Greifswald for applications to a full degree course:
- the ‘Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang ausländischer Studienbewerber’ (DSH) at least level 2*
- the ‘Deutsche Sprachdiplom der Kultusministerkonferenz’ (level 2)
- the Goethe-Zertifikat C2 from the Goethe Institute
- the ‘Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache’ (Test DaF), at least level 4 in all partial examinations*
- the certificate ‘telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule’
- a completed degree in German Studies, an assessment test with German as an examination subject.
