Being a Faculty of the MBA Department, what are your roles and responsibilities towards the Students?

To enrich the students with subject knowledge and make them industry ready.

How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty?

Apart from the curriculum, departmental decisions are made after discussing with the students and fellow faculty as per the need.

How do you try to bring in a practical approach towards subjects and make it industry oriented?

By conducting case analysis, role play on real-time situations, and other managerial activities like group discussion, etc.

What are the best practices offered by the department to the students which help them gain necessary skills?

Conducting guest lectures regularly, mock interviews, and club activities according to their specializations.

How do you strategize the curriculum and how often does it get updated to make it befitting for the students?

It gets updated once in 4 years with expert advice from Industry experts and academicians.

What are your views on the placements and higher education of the students from your department? How does your department prepare students for Higher education?

We have a separate placement training team to assist our students with placements.

How do you help your student to cope with the competition being so high in the outside world?

Creating an attitude, thirsting to learn, preparing for the competitive habit of having smart work rather than hard work.

Do you have any extracurricular activities or programs to enhance the skills of the students or expose them to real-world challenges?

We have to tie up with NGOs like young Indians – Yuva, where students interested to take part in social activities

What are the challenges you faced/ are facing to uplift the quality of education of your department?

Due to covid, all the classes are conducted online once the students switched to offline it is difficult for them to adopt offline classes again.

When you came to college, what was your vision and how are you trying to achieve the same?

I have planned to do a Ph.D. and am currently progressing toward it.

How does the curriculum of your department or college ensure the best practice of the industry?

One of our board of studies members is an industry expert. We take input from him and incorporate it into our curriculum during syllabus revision.

How does the department or college or University enhance the skills of the faculty and prepare them according to the industry standards?

We encourage you to participate in workshops and seminars organized by industries.

What are the interventions and approaches you bring in apart from the curriculum to train or teach the students?

We conduct management games to train the students along with the curriculum.

What do you see as the department’s or college’s greatest strengths and how can they be enhanced?

In our college, we have experienced faculty and it is located in the heart of the city.
