What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

I always wanted to be associated with a profession like Education, which is ever-growing. It is a channel through which the youth are enabled to achieve their desired goals and are enabled to fulfil their cherished dreams; thereby contributing in the development of the nation at large. My view is that more and more dynamic, and innovative persons should be motivated to be involved in the education field for it is a major backbone of our nation.
How would you describe your leadership style?
“Progressive mentorship and guidance”
I believe in transformational leadership. My leadership is all about equipping young women with information, requisite skills, and training so that they may succeed in the fields they choose for themselves and feel empowered. I want to steer this college with the objective to nurture and shape leaders who can steer change and take up personal and professional challenges with ease.
How do you strategize the key plans for the administration of your college?
“Maintaining an organized and transparent framework”
Team work, well planned organization structure, coordination and synergy in a team are vital factors for effective administration. A well-defined vision along with clear cut short as well as long term goals are necessary. Also, taking initiatives to improve the institution periodically by taking feedback from the stakeholders including students and parents are the pillars for a successful administration.

The vision of the college is to develop leadership qualities, social responsibility and academic quest among young women. So, imparting modern education, and contemporary skills along with inculcating a traditional value system is what makes our college different. The old school technique of teaching is transformed with proper innovative techniques like Experiential Activities, Project Work and Field work and all these techniques are monitored by teachers at individual level. What do you think should be the college’s top priority over the next 10 years?

The Government of India had outlined its vision by declaring NEP 2020. The National Education Policy 2020 acknowledges the important role of education in contributing to the nation’s development. In light of this, the institutions should be prepared to meet changes that are imperative and taking practical measures to fulfil it would be a task in hand. It also takes into account the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development stressing the responsibility that each country needs to contribute for the overall global growth. Developing skill-based courses, language proficiencies, focus on ideas, applications, and problem-solving, community service projects, activity clubs, etc. and other activities that would unleash the potential in students would be my top priority in the coming years.
How has your vision for the college evolved over time?
“Introducing more practical perspectives to teaching-learning process”
When I first joined the college, my vision was to bring about measures for digitalization of administrative procedure, for I believe it is important not only for ease of doing work but it would make work procedures more systematic and transparent. Daily attendance App was introduced for the faculty and records of the college were digitised. With time it has become a part and parcel of functioning. More and more use of technology in teaching and learning processes in a more holistic manner is not only desirable but highly effective and beneficial for the development of college. Imparting life skills amongst the youth along with traditional values is my aim for enriching the understanding of the youth and appreciation of the diversities of our nation.

How do you tend to establish a healthy environment in your College?

Ensuring psychological wellness of the youth and reaching out to the community through extension activities are my priorities to lead the institution in the knowledge-driven world.
