Admission Process for Calcutta National Medical College, Kolkata

Admission to Calcutta National Medical College, Kolkata is done on the basis of NEET. Candidates seeking admission to college will have to clear the NEET cut off and register themselves for NEET counselling. Candidates clearing the counselling and making their way to the merit list provided by MCC have to reach college on the assigned date and time with the following mentioned documents.

NEET 2022 Counselling

NEET 2022 counselling will be conducted by Medical Council Committee. For 15% All India Quota seats, there will be centralised counselling for candidates falling under AI Quota. There will be separate counselling for states participating in NEET for 85% Quota Seats.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission to Calcutta National Medical College, Kolkata

Candidates must fulfil the following eligibility criteria:

• Nationality- Candidate should be Indian Nationals or Overseas Citizen of India(OCI)
• Aadhar Card- Candidate should have Aadhar Card except for the candidates from Assam, Jammu and Kashmir and Telangna State.
• Age Limit-Candidate must be of minimum 17 years of age at the time of admission on or before December 31, 2022. 
• Essential Academic Qualification- Candidates who have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology individually securing a minimum of 50% in 10+2 is eligible. For reserved category (SC/ST/OBC), there is a relaxation of 10% so they have to secure a minimum of 40% to be eligible. General physically handicapped candidates have to secure a minimum of 45%. Aspirants who are appearing in 10+2 examination in 2022 may also appear provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later on.

If two or more candidates have equal score in the exam, preference will be given to

• Candidate having higher marks in Biology/Biotechnology in NEET
• Candidate having higher marks in Chemistry in NEET
• Candidate having higher marks in Physics in NEET
• Candidates with less number of attempted wrong answers in all the subjects in the Test.
• Candidate older in age.
