I can say with certainty that IMT Ghaziabad’s placement figures are highly inflated mainly because my own sister was a victim of the same. The placement committee portrays the inflated packages in different ways. The situation is worse at IMT Delhi. The students who join such colleges are mainly drawn because of the placement reports feeling wronged and rightly so.
IMT Ghaziabad’s summer placements witnesses most of the batch receiving stipends of around 15-20k only. Some students even have to go for unpaid internships. Most of the students get placed in start-ups only.
The final placements are all the more inflated with so many hidden variables that make it even impossible to identify the root cause of inflation. A major part of the batch receives an in-hand salary of around 60-65k only.
The new IIMs also have inflated placement figures but this problem is way more serious at private institutes like IMT, NMIMS, SIBM, and SCMHRD. The real average package offered at IMT Ghaziabad is around INR 10 LPA only. Many students are offered packages as low as 5-6 LPA while many remain unplaced.
Based on placements, SVCE will be better for ECE. Here are the recent placement highlights.

Average CTC | INR 6.5 LPA |
Highest CTC | INR 8 LPA |

Infosys, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, SWA, etc. are some of the major recruiters that take part in SVCE placements.
Multinational banks, private equity firms, and investment banks used to pay a visit to IIMs to directly recruit candidates for the US. It no longer happens. These MNCs have been extremely cautious since the 2008 crisis and the 9/11 incident. They rarely hire IIM graduates for these positions unless they are exceptionally talented or have a particularly unique skill set.
However, these companies do regularly recruit for roles in India and pay very well. The figures aren't huge, but they're adequate. IIMC is known as the "Mecca" of finance for good reason. It is the best place to be if you want to work in finance.
If you perform exceptionally well, you have a good chance of being transferred abroad after a few years of significant experience. At the moment, the only international placements available are to Dubai, Singapore, Malaysia, and, at most, Europe (though this is relatively uncommon). Your chances of going abroad increase as your performance in the company and the impact you make in your role improve. So hone your skills and concentrate on working hard in your company. You will be given the chance you deserve.

Recently, NIT Warangal has been doing exceptionally well in terms of placements. Almost 30% of the class got more than 20 LPA offers. All you need is open coding skills.
One of my friends recently graduated from Vignan Lara Vaslamudi. Here are his insights.
Overall, Vignan Lara Vaslamudi offers a good academic environment and decent opportunities. If you are getting admission to the institute, you should go for it.
The final placement process of the batch 2018-20 was termed as Xuberance’20. MBA (BM) is the flagship program of the institution and the average package was INR 15.42 lakhs per annum for the batch 2018-20.
As published by the institution, some of the important highlights of the placement process are mentioned below.
28% of the students were offered roles by Management and Strategy Consulting companies which was the highest recruiting sector. 21% of the students were offered roles in the Marketing sector. 20% of the students were offered roles in the System sector. 19% of the students bagged roles in Risk Advisory, Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Wealth Management and Credit Analysis. The remaining students were offered roles in sectors such as General Management, Strategy and Operations.
IIM (Indian Institute of Management) is one of the country's top business schools. To graduate from the IIMs is a goal shared by many students. IIM offers Executive MBA Programs in addition to its well-known Post Graduate Diploma in Management Program. Professionals with a minimum of five years of work experience are typically eligible for these executive MBA programs. Apart from the Executive MBA Program, there are many specialized Executive Programs available today, such as Digital Vidya's Executive Program in Digital Marketing in collaboration with Deakin University. Freshmen, consultants, marketing specialists, and people switching careers can all apply for this program. Nowadays, people are more interested in Digital Marketing specialized programs rather than generic MBA programs.
With a top salary of INR 89.25 lakh and an average salary of INR 23.67 lakh, it projected a positive placement season for its eleventh batch. A batch of 68 students received a total of 61 offers, 61 candidates accepted the offers, 5 students returned to their previous employers, and 2 students opted out of the placement program. IT services firms led the charge with 29 offers, followed by consulting firms with 8 and e-commerce firms with 6. Consulting, banking/finance, manufacturing, and real estate were some of the other industries with a lot of hiring going on. There were 78 companies in total that participated in the campus placement process, and major employers included Accenture, Amazon, PwC, Virtusa Polaris, EClerx, Flipkart, and Cognizant.
The best part is that by the end of the program, you will have three months of the internship experience. Consequently, there were 7 months of learning and 3 months of implementation. The curriculum offers a good balance of academic knowledge and real-world application.
IIIT Allahabad, like most CFTI, has a set of students managing placements and getting companies on board. So the placement scenario is directly proportional to the quality of peers and their ability to attract the best companies.
The placement scenario has observed an improvement over the past few years. IIIT Allahabad offers an excellent ROI because it charges fees much less than other private colleges.
Overall, the placement scenario might need improvement but the knowledge, experience, brand name, and scope of growth IIIT Allahabad offers are great!
The placement scenario of the Chemical Engineering department of IIT Guwahati is just average with only a handful of companies visiting the campus for placements. The packages offered too are not at par with other IITs.
My sister was a student at IIT Guwahati and she told me that many of her batchmates remained unplaced. Specifically talking about Mtech, core jobs are scarce and only your luck can help you.
I will recommend you entirely focus on preparing for PSU or GRE and target a Ph.D. from a foreign university. The professors at IIT Guwahati have good connections abroad and their reference and guidance will help you to choose the best universities, and publish good research journals. Ph.D. students have to do the job hunting themselves and not rely on placements.
Those who opt for non-core placements can avail the best opportunities with great packages even better than the core. All you need is a decent proficiency in coding and knowledge of a few programming languages.
I have a few friends from Ravenshaw University and according to them, for M.Sc Science subjects like PCMB, there are no placements. You will have to seek job opportunities on your own. But for other streams, some recruiting companies like Wipro, Infosys, etc. visit the campus. For management subjects also, you will get decent placement opportunities in the campus drive.
According to the recent placement highlights, the overall placement average for Ravenshaw was 70%. The average and highest CTC offered in the placement was 12 LPA and 6 LPA.
