What is your review of Tezpur University?
One of my friends attended Tezpur University. His experience with the university has not been good. Here are some of the things that she shared with me.
- The administration there is headed by only one person and the VC is not cooperative.
- You will get in trouble if any of your batch mates get involved in any misbehavior.
- Attending classes there is very important and otherwise, you may not be allowed to do your internships.
- The library is inadequate. The wifi facility on campus is also not that good.
- The placement record of the institute is average. The average CTC offered at the recent placement drive was 3.5 LPA.
So, if you have other better options go for it.
What is the recent highest package and average package offered in NIT, Trichy branch wise?
NIT Trichy is among the top engineering colleges that have made its place owing to its increasing placement statistics. Many JEE Main toppers consider NIT Trichy their dream college now. The CSE branch of the institute witnesses the highest packages.

In NIT Trichy Placements 2022, the highest package stood at INR 40 LPA. The UG batch recorded 90.9% placements whereas the PG batch recorded 92.9% placements. One of my friends was in a similar dilemma when he had to choose between NIT, BITS Pilani, and IIIT Hyderabad. Visiting the NITs he found out about their poor infrastructure so removed it from his preference list. Confused between BITS and IIIT he decided to consult his cousin in BITS and eventually decided to go for it. Today, he claims that choosing BITS was one of the wisest decisions of his life. He stated his entire experience that I have summarised below in points

- Here you will see an active entrepreneurship culture and the professors not only motivate but also assist the students in the same.
- The research culture is another prominent feature and my friend won several international accolades.
- You will be surprised to know that BITS is the only private Indian university that is working on sensitive military projects.
- The BITS tag does help in securing good packages but the rest of the journey depends on your efforts, performance, practical experience, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
So, every institute be it IIIT Hyderabad, BITS Pilani or NIT Trichy offers its own kind of opportunities, culture, and resources. It depends on you, how much you are willing to make the most out of them.
Why are the closing ranks of Thapar University going so low? Is the level of the institute degrading?
According to my brother who studied in Thapar mentioned that closing rank is not an indicator for the degradation of the institute.
- Thapar University is considered one of the most prestigious colleges for engineering in the country.
- It provides innumerable facilities and opportunities to all the students.
- The ranks depend largely upon the level of the question paper designed. Previously, most of the candidates got a rank above 50,000, due to consideration of board percentages.
Last but not least we can say that closing rank does not define the college. The college continues to impart the knowledge and gives decent placement opportunities along with internship offers, which still attracts students.
