Admission: Both SRM University and PES University offers a bachelor’s in technology programs in CSE (Computer Science and Engineering). The total number of seats available at SRM Institute of Science and Technology is approximately 100 and at PES University is 720.

• The highest salary package announced at PES University ranges around 48 LPA. Whereas, the average salary package offered is around 6.8 LPA.

SRM University:

• The faculty of the college is really good, they have in-depth knowledge of the concepts and mostly all of the faculty of the engineering branch are Ph.D.'s.

Sikkim Manipal University has been ranked at 17 for Private Engineering by India Today in 2020. The largest department within the institution is the CSE department and it has also won the best department in SMIT multiple times.

• Class 12th with mandatory subjects in Physics, Maths, Chemistry/computer science/biology is the prerequisite for admission to CSE at Sikkim Manipal.

• SMIT online, MET, JEE Mains is the examinations accepted for BTech admission.

Xavier University is a state private college recognized by AICTE and UGC. It is accredited to NBA and SAQS. The college has been ranked 44th by NIRF Rankings in the university category.

The college offers B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) as a four-year course. The fees for the course are 8.36 lakhs for the full period.

Admission Procedure:

• The minimum eligibility criteria for the course are having cleared 10+2 examinations with 60% aggregate and having studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 10+2.

• Further, students are selected on the basis of the score obtained on the Xavier Engineering Selection Test. Students are selected on the basis of scores obtained in the admission test, personal interview, and 10th and 10+2 marks.

• Students with an excellent academic record, e.g. 75% in JEE Mains or diploma holders with good scores are considered for direct lateral entry.

LNCT-S Bhopal is approved by AICTE and was ranked 100 in the engineering category by NIRF 2018. The institute is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidiyalaya (RGPV).

• Students should have 50-60% in their 10+2 qualifying exams.
• JEE rank is mandatory for BTech admission.
• Students applying for postgraduate courses should have 60% in their graduation in BTech or BE.

Due to the rapidly growing corporate industry there is a constant need for computer engineers or CSE graduates by the numerous organizations in the IT sectors. CSE is considered the most popular engineering specializations. So, choosing CSE over Automobile Engineering in any college of your choice will be a better option because of the former's popularity and demand.

Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and Technology (GRIET) provided Information Technology (IT) under the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) program. GRIET is ranked 37th in all India and 6th in Telangana in ‘India Private Higher Education Rankings 2019-20’ by Education World. CMR College of Engineering & Technology (CMRCET) offers Computer Science & Engineering under B.Tech degree. It is ranked 251 for BTech by NIRF 2020.

Admissions:

• There are 120 seats available for Information Technology specialization under B.Tech.
• Students wishing to enroll in either of the courses are required to take the Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) conducted by the State of Telangana.
• 70% of the seats are based on the rank assessment of EAMCET and the remaining seats are reserved for management quota in both colleges.
• The annual tuition fee is Rs. 1.22 lakh in GRIET and 1.0 lakh in CMRCET.

Choosing which college is better is often challenging. CSE as a course has great scope for programming, developing, networking, and testing in the machine-centric future. IT as a specialization is quite diverse; and job opportunities with network security and data analytics companies as well as government jobs can be easily gained. So choose according to your preference.

IIT Tirupati appeared for its first campus placement in 2019. Around 43 companies came for the on-campus drive and 75% of the overall students got a placement with an average package of 9.18 LPA. The highest package offered was 22 LPA. The top companies of the 2019 placements were TCS, Bosch, L&T, Fincare, etc. IIT Tirupati had a maximum placement for the CSE students with an average salary of 12 LPA. The number of students who got registered was 28 and out of them, 25 of the students got placement.

In 2019, IIT Bhubaneswar witnessed a big jump in terms of placement. Around 90% of the students got placement in the 89 companies that visited the campus. The major companies like Google, Amazon, HP, Adobe offer huge placement packages for the students of IIT Bhubaneswar. The students of IIT Bhubaneswar have received the highest placement offered for CSE of 100%. The CSE department received an average salary of 10-35 LPA, and the highest package offered was 39 LPA.

Overall it can be said that the IIT Bhubaneswar has better statistics than IIT Tirupati for pursuing CSE both in terms of academics and placements.

GLA University was established to offer quality education and an academic friendly environment. Sharda University, one of the Top UGC approved Universities for providing Best Quality Education. Both universities offer a full-time 4 year BTech program in CSE and GLA has been accredited by NAAC with a Grade ‘A’ and Sharda with Gade "B".

Infrastructure:

GLA University:

For admissions in CSE BTech at GLA University students need to keep the following points in mind.

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 examinations with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and one vocational subject with an aggregate score of 50%.
• Admission for B tech courses is based on performance in GLAET followed by an interview.

Sharda University:

For admissions in CSE BTech at Sharda University students need to keep the following points in mind.

Both Universities are good in terms of academics and placements. Students can make a well-informed choice between the two universities for the CSE program based on the important points given above.

Both DIT Dehradun and JUET Guna are good options for CSE. NIRF has ranked DIT 129 for B.Tech and JUET in the 86 position among the universities of India.

DIT: It offers B.Tech and M.Tech programs in CSE. DIT offers B.Tech programs in Computer Science and Engineering with 160 credits. The program is designed with 7 specialized tracks to provide hands-on and advanced knowledge in key emerging areas of study.

Admission-

• B.Tech - Minimum 60% marks in 10th Std., aggregate 60% marks in plus two and a minimum of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English/ Physics Mathematics, Biology, and English/ Physics, Mathematics, English, and Computer.

• M.Tech - A Minimum of 55% marks BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Computer Science & Engg/Information Technology/MCA. GATE qualified students shall be preferred.

• The course fee for B.Tech and M.Tech is 2 lakhs and 1.2 lakhs per annum.

Placements-

• Top recruiters of DIT include 4 Way Technologies, ATMECS Technologies, Click Labs, Enthuons Technologies Pvt ltd, Gemini Solutions, Hashedin Technologies, HSBC, and so on.

• The average CTC for CSE is 4.5 LPA.

JUET: The JUET has been at the forefront of churning out software engineers with a high caliber of technical expertise. The Department is an exciting place in which the faculty is friendly, well qualified, and able to provide a supportive environment for the students.

Admission-

• The JUET offers 300 B.Tech seats for CSE. Of these 150 are reserved for JEE qualified students and another 150 is for merit-based admission. M.Tech CSE offers 10 seats.

• Admission to the B.Tech and M.Tech program is through JEE Mains and GATE.

• The tuition fee per semester for the B.Tech course is Rs.82500 and M.Tech is Rs.42000.

Facilities-The department provides efficient and most up-to-date computing equipment including IBM and Compaq Servers, Multimedia Lab, Programming Lab, and Networking Lab, to support learning and teaching activities.

Placements- During the 2016-20 B.Tech batch, 268 students were admitted. Of these 227 students got eligible for higher studies. Among this, 4 students opted for their higher studies and 223 students interested in placements. Nearly 163.23% of students got placed during the academic year.

The JUET offers more placement offers to the students. Also, the campus infrastructure is quite good.
