What rank is required for a BCA at SHUATS?

MD
Mahima Dasgupta Posted On : November 12th, 2021
MCA from Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences

If you have a rank of 3000-4000, you should get admission easily in BCA at SHUATS. I have also known people who got admission with 5000+ rank. But if you don’t want to do a post-graduate then doing a B.Tech will be better. You can also do a B.Sc degree in Computer Science and pursue an MCA degree after.

Which is better for a BCA, IMS Noida or Amity Noida?

AD
Anirban Dutta Posted On : July 31st, 2021
Studied at Delhi University (2019)

Both IMS Noida and Amity Noida are two good colleges for pursuing BCA programs. As per many students, college does not matter much but the potential and knowledge do. One of my friends had studied from Amity and highly recommended it for pursuing a BCA program.

Here are some of the supporting facts :

  • Amity has a brand name and ranks at the top among the various private institutions of India.
  • Amity has one of the best faculties with vast expertise in all of their domains.
  • There is a great need for practical knowledge for pursuing BCA and for that, Amity has great computer labs and it emphasizes much on practical classes.
  • The campus has one of the finest infrastructures.
  • There is great student diversity. Students from all over the country from varied backgrounds come here.
  • The students will enhance their communication skills.
  • The college has a great library.
Categories BCA at Amity University Noida
Course Fee 6.36 lakh
Highest CTC 16 LPA
Average CTC 5 LPA
Recruiting Companies TCS, Google, Microsoft, Infosys, etc.

The only disadvantage is that the college takes hefty fees and it is very strict about its attendance policy. If this is not one's concern, then Amity would be a great option.

Which one to go for B.Sc. IT from Amity University Lucknow or BCA from Amity University Lucknow?

AS
Anjali Singh Posted On : December 23rd, 2021
B.Tech (Biotechnology) from Amity University, Lucknow (2018)

It really will not matter as the faculties of B.Sc. IT and BCA are more or less the same. They are taught similar subjects.

The only difference is that in B.Sc. IT is majorly concerned with the research aspect of the computer, while BCA is concerned more with the application of computer science. But both are equally great courses with proper scope for the future.

Amity Lucknow offers great facilities, infrastructure and highly supportive and experienced faculty members for all the courses. Go for the one you are interested in and want to make a career in.

No, it’s not possible to get admission to the BCA program at PSIT Kanpur if you haven’t taken Maths as a compulsory subject in Class 12. Admissions for both BCA and BA programs are done through CSJM entrance scores, purely on the basis of merit.

The basic eligibility criteria for admission is

  • A minimum of 60% aggregate score in the 10th and 12th examinations.
  • Candidates must have appeared for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects during their 12th examination.

Admissions to the BCA program at PSIT Kanpur are done through counseling depending upon the marks obtained by the candidates in Aptitude Test.

Is CSJM good for a BCA?

RK
Raj Kumar Posted On : October 1st, 2021
Studied M.A History & English Literature,Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (2016)

I have a few friends from CSJM and according to them, it is not a good option for BCA. There is no scope for improvement or expansion. You should think about the best option for your future security and worth. The CSJM placement cell does not put enough effort to offer placements for the students. The placement records are not that good. The average CTC offered is around 3 LPA.

Rather than focusing on studies, the administration only required 75% attendance. The only advantage CSJM offers is the library.

Can a management give a seat in a BCA at Nizam College Hyderabad?

MS
Manish Sengupta, Posted On : November 8th, 2021
BCA Bachelor of Computer Applications Degrees, Nizam College (2019)

Management seats are not provided for BCA students in Nizam College. It is suggested that you go to college and get all the required details.

If you have a sports background, there is a chance to secure a seat. You have to fill in all of your educational details (10th, 12th, etc.) and submit them.

They take the top 30-35 candidates who received the highest marks in Intermediate. This could also vary. Mostly securing a seat is conducted on a merit basis.
