Is the IIIT Pune a good college?
Yes, IIIT Pune is a good college. It offers good academics. Classes are regular. It has a great faculty base. The faculty members are supportive. You can consult your HOD and any senior faculty member regarding any doubt. The institute offers good infrastructural facilities to the students. There are separate hostel accommodations for boys and girls.
IIIT Pune placements have been good for the last few years. According to the latest placement highlights, B.Tech students received the highest CTC of INR 36 LPA.
IIIT Pune has technical, sports, and cultural clubs that you can join.
Which one is better- IMT Nagpur or IMT Hyderabad keeping all the parameters like placement, faculty, e.t.c. in mind?
IMT is indeed a brand name but unfortunately, the brand's credibility is applicable only to IMT Ghaziabad. The other campuses carry very little brand worth and legacy of IMT. If there is an IMT that is slightly near to comparison then it is IMT Hyderabad. The other campuses are new and lack recognition. IMT Hyderabad campus is visited by some extremely reputed local companies thereby offering better placement opportunities.

How was your IIM Ahmedabad interview?
In 2021, one of my friends attended the IIM Ahmedabad interview. IIM A was the only IIM to conduct in-center interviews last year. Students were required to go to the center give AWT, and attend their interview through video conference.
After the identity verification, students were asked to wait in a room for AWT. When the AWT round was over, they were called for an interview. My friend was 3rd in her panel.
- They asked a few questions regarding her background and past academics, first.
- After the introduction was done, they asked why she wanted to do an MBA.
- There were few other questions regarding politics and current events.
- She was also asked whether she got any placement offers or not.
Her interview went well and she was able to convert the call.
Which has better hostel conditions, NIT Trichy, or NIT Warangal?
Both NIT Trichy and NIT Warangal have good hostel facilities. Let me point out the facilities that you will get at NIT Trichy hostel.
- The first thing that the students enjoy at NIT Trichy is the unlimited wifi during the 4 years of stay at the hostel.
- We also have a hospital from where you can get medical facilities free of cost.
- There are 22 boys hostels. On every floor, we have a TT room and an air-conditioned TV room.
- You can complain about any electrical equipment which has been damaged or out of order and it will be taken care of within 2-3 days.
- We also have Naturals Hair Salon and CCD. The canteen facilities are amazing and they are open till 2 AM.
- The hostel rooms are spacious and you will share the room with another roommate.
- You are allowed to buy your washing machine. However, there are laundry facilities as well.
Why do colleges like Lovely Professional University, Sharda University, and Amity University advertise on TV? Do these universities have any standing or credibility?
Even though colleges like LPU, Sharda and Amity spend a lot of money advertising themselves, these private institutions provide plenty of opportunities to their students. It is ultimately the students’ responsibility to make use of these opportunities. Deserving candidates are offered scholarships by these educational institutions.
Private Universities are the face of the modern Indian Education System after the IITs and NITs. The high end infrastructure and research facilities at top private engineering colleges has resulted in projecting India as a center of excellence in higher education. Moreover, the faculty and teaching standards at these institutions are of good quality.
Thus, Lovely Professional University, Sharda University, Amity University, etc. have a good reputation and credibility.
What are my chances of getting into IIM Ahmedabad as a fresher?
A number of IIM Ahmedabad students have zero to one year work experience.
But as a fresher, you’ll be expected to have a good academic record. Other than that, you should have some extracurricular achievements, some national/state level awards, or anything else that makes you stand out.
People with work experience are prioritized. But with good academic scores, some extracurricular achievements, and a good performance in CAT and GDs, your chances of getting selected will be high.
How has been your life after completing PGDIE from NITIE?
Life after completing PGDIE from NITIE can be pretty good, especially if you are joining Supply Chain Management or Operations. The institute has a stellar placement record. NITIE Mumbai placements 2021 witnessed an average CTC Of INR 25.41 LPA and the highest CTC of INR 49 LPA.
NITIE Mumbai alumni are MD, President, CXOs in various MNCs across the globe.
