Is IIT Hyderabad better than NIT Rourkela?

IIT Hyderabad and NIT Rourkela are one of the best engineering colleges in India. If we have a look at their rankings, IIT Hyderabad stands at 8th rank according to NIRF and between 600th-650th in the QS rankings. • NIT Rourkela has a gigantic area of 647 acres that include a computer center with the latest research facilities, a couple of cafeterias, and a total of 11 hostels.

Course fees:

The course fees of both the colleges are a bit higher, because of the world-class facilities they provide.

Placement:

IIT Hyderabad:

• In the recent placement drive, the highest package offered at IIT Hyderabad was INR 60.41 LPA and the average package was INR 23 LPA.

• 325+ offers were made to students from different branches.

NIT Rourkela:

• 909 offers were made to the students at NIT Rourkela.

• The highest package offered was INR 42 LPA which was bagged by a student from the CSE branch.

• The placement percentage was more than 95%.
