MIT Pune PhD Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have a Master’s degree or M.Phil with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks (50% for reserved category candidates) or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale.
  • Candidates possessing a degree considered equivalent to M.Phil. degree of an Indian Institution, from a Foreign Educational Institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency, eligible for admission to Ph.D. program.

MIT Pune PhD Selection Criteria

  • Candidates must have valid marks in PhD entrance test conducted by MITWPU as per the UGC guidelines.
  • The candidates who have qualified UGC-NET (including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/SLET/GATE/Teacher fellowship holder or have passed M. Phil program are exempted from MIT WPU PhD entrance test.
  • The interview/viva-voce will be conducted by the university for test qualifying candidates. For selection of candidates a weightage of 70% to the entrance test and 30 % to the performance in the interview/Viva-voce shall be given.
