National Institute of Technology, (NIT) Raipur ranked 67th under the Engineering category by NIRF 2020 report. The institute is conducting its 2021 placement drive. 92 companies participated in the placement drive & made a total of 599 placement offers.
The institute released its interim report for the 2020-21 batch. The average CTC of INR 9.7 LPA was offered by the recruiters. The highest number of students placed were from the Computer Science & Engineering & Information Technology branches.

- In the year 2018-19, a total of four students - three from CS and one from IT bagged an offer of INR 32.50 LPA in the campus placement drive.
- The average package for these two branches lies between INR 8-10 LPA.
- Maximum numbers of offers were bagged by the department of CSE. Which were 82 out of a total of 587 offers made in the year 2019-20. This was followed by the IT department, which received 79 offers.
The students from the CS and IT department who are eligible to sit for the placement i.e. students without any backlogs, easily get placed. For the placement drive of 2019-20, 755 students were eligible out of which 90 were from the CS department and 90 were from the IT department.

Given your rank of 2900, it would be very difficult to get CSE in these colleges. So you need a lot of luck during the Spot Counseling. If anyone withdraws their admission at the last moment from the CSE branch of these colleges then you might get admission.
