NIT Hamirpur Courses Admission 2024: Eligibility, Selection Criteria, Application Process

NIT Hamirpur offers a 4 year (8 semesters) B.Tech programme in nine specializations in regular mode only. Admissions are based on JEE Main Exam scores and then JOSAA counselling. The institute also accepts Late entry applications for B.Tech program, provided the candidates clear the LEET examination and are eligible for the program. 

NIT Hamirpur B.Tech Cutoff 2023 (Expected)

NIT Hamirpur JEE Main cutoff is the minimum rank to get admitted to the B.Tech program. The cutoff will be released by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). • Create a password
• Log in again and fill out the form
• Upload scanned images of photographs and signature
• A fee of 650 INR (325 INR for reserved categories) will be charged/ It is to be paid through Debit card, Credit card, Net banking, UPI or Paytm.
• Keep a printout of the application form for future use.

NIT Hamirpur offers a 5- year B.Arch programme in sustainable architecture in regular mode only. The institute charges INR 71,500 per semester for its B.Arch program.

NIT Hamirpur B.Arch Cutoff 2023 (Expected)

NIT Hamirpur B.Arch Eligibility Criteria:

• A candidate must have passed his 10+2 with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.

NIT Hamirpur offers a 2 years M.Tech programme in 18 specializations under five departments. The institute offers this M.Tech programme in full time mode only and the fee charged per semester is INR 42,500. 

NIT Hamirpur M.Tech Eligibility Criteria:

• A candidate must hold a B.E./B.Tech degree minimum of 4 years duration.
• Candidates must have passed their graduation with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate. 

NIT Hamirpur M.Tech Selection Criteria:

• The selection of candidates for the M.Tech programme is based on their GATE score.

How to apply for GATE?

Those who are eligible for admission have to take the GATE. The registration process for it is given below:

• Register through the link by entering the candidate’s name, email ID and mobile number.
• After the form is submitted, an enrolment ID will be sent to the candidate’s mobile number.
• Fill out the application form.
• A fee of 1,500 INR (750 INR for women and reserved categories) will be charged. It is to be paid online.
• Download the form and keep a printout for future reference.

CCMT Counselling:

Candidates who take the GATE will have to go for CCMT counselling. To apply, follow the given steps:

• Register at the official website.
• Fill out the application form.
• Pay the registration fee of 2,200 INR (1,700 INR for reserved categories).
• Click on “I agree”.
• Start entering your choices. When it is done, lock the choices.
• Submit the application and keep a printout.

NIT Hamirpur GATE Cutoff 2023 (Expected)

NIT Hamirpur offers a 2 years MBA programme in five specializations. The institute offers this MBA program in full time mode only and the fee charged per semester is INR 42,500. 

NIT Hamirpur MBA Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates must have passed a bachelor's degree in any relevant field.
• Candidates must have secured at least 55% of marks in their graduation. 

NIT Hamirpur MBA Selection Criteria 

• The selection of the candidates is made on the basis of their marks scored in CAT CCMT/ XAT/ MAT.
• The seat allotment is done by the deemed university itself.

How to Apply for CAT?

Candidates who are eligible for admission to MBA have to take the CAT for selection. Follow these steps to register:

• Visit the official website.
• Click on “Registration” for new users.
• Read the given instructions.
• Fill in the necessary details to generate OTP.
• Enter the OTP and validate it.
• Check ‘I Agree’ and submit the CAT application form.
• After submitting the details, a message will be sent to the registered mobile number containing the password, and an email will be sent containing the user ID.
• After the registration is complete, a unique login ID and password will be generated.
• Click on ‘Go to Application Form’ to fill out the CAT application form.

The institute offers a 2 years, full time M.Sc. programme under three specializations including Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics & Computing. NIT Hamirpur charges a fee of INR 42,500 per semester. 

NIT Hamirpur M.Sc. Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates must have passed a B.Sc. degree in relevant discipline.
• Candidates must have secured at least 55% of marks in their graduation. 

NIT Hamirpur M.Sc. Selection Criteria:

• The initial selection to the M.Sc program is made on the basis of marks scored in IIT JAM.
• A candidate is offered the admission seat after the successful completion of CCMN counselling round.

How to apply to IIT JAM?

The candidates who are eligible for studying M.Sc have to take the IIT JAM. Follow these steps to register:

• Visit the official website
• Register through the link by entering the candidate’s name, email address and mobile phone number. Create a password.
• After submitting the registration form, an enrolment ID would be sent to the mobile number.
• Fill out the form. Include the details of the JAM papers and choice of JAM examination cities.
• Pay the application fee online and keep a printout for future reference.
• You can download the admit card from this portal later.

For counseling:

• Visit the website of CCMN and click on “New Registration”.
• Enter the JAM score details.
• Enter the personal details carefully.
• Click on “proceed’ to preview the filled out form.
• Create a password and click on “Submit”. An OTP will be sent to your number.
• Enter the OTP. A Permanent Identifier (PID) will be created. Once this happens, no more registration will be allowed. Use this to log on to the Candidate’s Corner from the next time onwards.

NIT Hamirpur offers a full-time M.Arch program at the postgraduate level for a duration of two years. For admission to the program, candidates need to appear for the GATE entrance examination. 

NIT Hamirpur M.Arch Eligibility Criteria

• B.Tech/B.Arch degree from a recognized university or institute.
• Candidates must have scored at least 6.5 CGPA on the 10-points scale of CGPA or 60% marks in aggregate in their graduation. 

NIT Hamirpur M.Arch Selection Criteria

Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of their GATE scores and seat allocation is done by CCMT counseling.

NIT Hamirpur offers a five-year Integrated M.Tech (B.Tech+M.Tech) in two specializations, namely, Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering. On successful completion of the program, students are awarded a degree in B.Tech and M.Tech. The institute accepts JEE Main entrance test for admission to the program.

NIT Hamirpur Integrated M.Tech Eligibility Criteria

• 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology as compulsory subjects with at least 50% marks.

Or

• A Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State board of technical education of at least 3 years duration.

NIT Hamirpur Integrated M.Tech Selection Criteria

Selection of the candidates is done on the basis of JEE Main rank which is further followed by JoSAA counseling. Seats are allocated on the basis of JEE Main Rank, availability of seats, choice filling, categories, and other factors. 

NIT Hamirpur Integrated M.Tech Cutoff 2023(Expected)

NIT Hamirpur offers Ph.D. programs in both full time and part time mode across multiple streams. Students can opt for the assistant teachership at the institute while pursuing the PhD program to avail incentives.

NIT Hamirpur Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology/Engineering with 60% marks
• Master’s degree in Science or equivalent with 60% marks
• Master’s degree in Arts/ Commerce or equivalent with a minimum of 55% marks.
• Valid GATE/ CEED/ JEST (for Physics) score OR Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) of CSIR/ NBHM/ UGC NET / DBT/ ICAR/ ICMR/ ICPR OR DST INSPIRE Fellowship

NIT Hamirpur Ph.D. Selection Process

• The final selection is made on the basis of performance of a candidate in the interview round. 
• M.Tech. + Ph.D. and M.Sc.+ Ph.D. dual degree holders are also eligible to apply.
• For applicants who have a dual degree, the grade point of the last two semesters of the course will be considered.
• Applicants must also have one of the following: CSIR JRF/ UGC/ NBHM/ DBT/ ICAR/ ICMR/ ICPR or DST INSPIRE Fellowship or a minimum of 2 years of professional work experience.
