Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Admission 2023: UG & PG Admission, Eligibility

At the undergraduate level, the Amritapuri campus offers B.Tech course in multiple specializations along with other UG programs such as B.Sc., B.Com, BBA, BCA, and BAMS. The basic eligiblity criterion for admission to UG course is the candidate should possess at least 60% marks in 10+2 examination with relevant subjects. In case of B.Tech, candidate should have scored 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with minimum 55% marks in each of these three subjects.

Admission to B.Tech program is done only on the basis of Amrita Entrance Examination Engineering (AEEE) conducted every year by the university. The examination is conducted in two modes:

• Computer Based Test (CBT)
• Pen & Paper Based Test (P&P).

Selection of the candidates to rest of the UG programs is done on the basis of marks scored in the entrance examination conducted by the respective department of the university.

Eligible and interested candidates can register online or purchase OMR applications from designated post officies & Dhanalaxmi / Federal Bank branches.

• Candidate’s date of birth, as per school records, must fall on or after July 1, 1997.
• Candidates who are due to appear in the final year examination in March/April are also eligible to apply.
• The total intake of candidates in BAMS and BCA is 60 seats per course.

The University also offers two integrated progra?ms under different specializations. The basic criterion for admission to the integrated courses is candidates should have passed 10+2 examination in relevant subjects. Final selection of the candidates is based on the entrance exams conducted by Amrita followed by counselling and interview.

• Candidate’s date of birth, as per school records, must fall on or after July 1, 1997
• The candidates can quit the course after three years i.e. completion of the Bachelor’s degree.
• The total intake of candidates in these integrated courses is 30 seats per course.

Along with UG programs, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus offers various PG programs including M.Tech, MBA and M.Sc in several specializations. The basic criterion to apply for these courses is the candidate should have secured a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subjects with 60% marks from any recognized university.

Selection of the candidates to MBA program is done on the basis of CAT/ GMAT/ CMAT scores. In case of M.Tech, GATE scores are considered for admission and Non-GATE qualified students will be admitted based on academic records and performance in interview. Admission to rest of the Master’s degree courses are based on the entrance exam conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, followed by counselling and interview session.

Registration for MBA program is open and the interested candidates can apply through the official website. The last date for submitting MBA application form is January 31. 

• M.D. program has an intake of 4 candidates per course.
• Candidates applying for MD must have completed their compulsory one-year rotatory internship as on or before July 31 of the academic year.
• Candidates applying under SC/ ST categories are granted a relaxation of 5% marks in the score of the qualifying examination.

The university offers Ph.D. program in 9 specializations. Admission to Ph.D is offered to the candidates who have passed postgraduate degree in First Class with Distinction with CGPA above 6.5 from any recognized university. Selection of the candidates to Ph.D. is done on the basis of the entrance test conducted by the University or GATE/ UGC NET/CSIR NET, followed by an interview. 

In addition to full-time, the programs are available on the Part-Time basis as well. However, the candidates applying for Part-Time mode must have a work experience along with a ‘No-Objection’ certificate from their current employer.

• Candidates with M.Phil degree in relevant subjects are exempted from the written test but have to take part in counselling and interview.
• The candidates who have qualified GATE/ UGC-NET/ CSIR NET or JRF or Research fellowship are eligible for direct admission in the Ph.D. program.
