I chose chemical engineering because, to my knowledge, Chemical engineering is a vast Department where the application lies in every field of work. And one more added benefit for choosing chemical engineering as my course is I will find much time in investing my intrest in other new things to learn. Talking about the faculty at my college (NIT Calicut ), Almost all the faculty are the PhD holders and all are having their specialisation in their respective fields. Talking about their experience , they have been excellent in innovation of their own and Extremely brilliant in guiding their students to implement their ideas. The ratio of faculy and students is 1:49. The exams were planned as One mid semester and one end semester for a particular semester. Papers were set based on all the students of the college, I can say briefly that Papers were set moderate to tough . Speaking about the pass situation, it is relative Grading .So it ise easy to pass but not getting Good grade
The course curriculum is extraordinary. Usually before this year, we all need to study the same curriculum. But from this year curriculum has changed a lot providing the syllabus respective to their branch
We are gonna have one mid-term test and then one end-term test in one semester. we will have 20 percent of the mid-term syllabus in end-term tests and now coming to our faculty members are highly educated and very knowledgeable.
I chose this course of mechanical engineering as firstly I didn't see myself doing anything else, secondly, this was the only branch I could get in NITC as it is one of the prestigious NICs. Faculty faculty-student ratio was good in the first year when all branches shared all subjects in common but now in the second year, we have core subjects so teachers are kind of fewer per subject like we have a hectic or weird timetable because of less faculty. ALL teachers around 95% are Ph. D.s from IITs or foreign universities, no problem with that. Exams are timely around a 1.5 to 2 months gap per exam series. like midsem after 2 months of starting semester then end sem after 1.5 months it varies. They are not very difficult they can be made difficult as per the syllabus they provide many students need to pass too so they ask some questions just to give marks.
Our curriculum consists of 8 semesters and we will have our autonomous policy in the college. For every semester we will have one midterm exam followed by end semester examination.. Through this process we will complete our graduation
I choose this course because I like machines faculty is very free with students and are much co operative than in any other college As it is a government college we get all the facilities Exams are not at all tough to pass but to get a good score we have to work hard
This year the course circulum has changed. highly qualified faculty with Ph.D. degrees and master's degrees, no difficulty in managing students for faculty advisors. There will be one mid-exam and end examination.
I like to construct buildings with a variety of designs and there will be more use in the future. In this course, the building construction will be told very clearly. The student ratio is there will be one class around 50 to 60 students will be there, in this the majority was girls. The faculties are so nice and their teaching will be more useful for future projects and constructions. The teacher will give so much knowledge about the design of old buildings and the history of the material used in construction. The time between exams will be one and a half months there will be mid and end-sem exams will be there and there will be a section where you need to show all your sem projects in college. The exams will be some are difficult and some are easy
I chose this course because I have been really interested in civil engineering since my childhood, As my father is in the same field. The faculty to students ratio is pretty good in comparison to other colleges. The qualifications of the faculty are very high. They had a very good experience. there are 2 exams per semester. 30 marks for midterm 50 in the end sem and another 20 marks for internals. It is relatively hard to pass these exams.
In the nit Calicut mechanical engineering has so many benefits. In the placement wise the percentage of getting job is very high and in this clg there lot of instruments to work on mechanical engineering. The faculty are very nice in the class there will around 50 students will be there for each subject there will be one lecturer . The quality of education was very nice your lectures will inform all things about subject and they will guide to achieve your goals . There will two main exams one was mid term and end sem exams will be there one and half month gap for mid term and end sem, some exams are very tough to answer 2 to 4 questions in exam some of the exams were easy and lab exams was also conducted
