SRM IST Placements 2022: Highest Package: INR 1 CPA & 1050 Companies Participated
At SRM Institute of Science and Technology, students get opportunities every year with competitive pay packages and profiles to meet the aspirations of students from a wide variety of industries and companies visiting the campus. The institute is conducting its placement drive for the batch 2022 and a students was offered the a salary package of INR 1 CPA which was offered by Amazon. About 4000 students were offered Super Dream Offers (INR 10 LPA or more) or Dream Offers (INR 5 LPA or more).
A total of 10,000 students were placed by 1050 participating recruiters. Some of the top recruiters like Cognizant, TCS, Wipro, Infosys participated in the placement drive.

During the placement drive of 2022, 10000 offers were made by 1050 participating recruiters. Around 4000 Super Dream or Dream Offers were made.
In the placement drive of 2021, 7111 offers have been offered till now and around 2000 super dream (INR 10 LPA+) and dream offers (INR 5 LPA+) were offered.
During the placement drive of 2021, the highest CTC stood at INR 35 LPA and some of the top recruiters like Cognizant, TCS, Wipro participated in the placement drive.

SRMIST: 2 Answered Questions
Is CUSAT better than SRM for placement purposes?
CUSAT is not a good option for core branches i.e. Mechanical, Civil, ECE or EEE. I am saying this out of personal experience. No core companies visit for Civil placements, and hardly 1-2 companies visit for Mechanical.
SRM gives its students the opportunity to sit for core companies like L&T. At CUSAT, core branch students are ultimately forced to sit for mass recruiters like BYJU’s, Wipro or TCS, or to try for off campus placements or competitive exams. But for CS/IT, Safety and Fire, and Ship Tech, CUSAT is a good option. The placements for these branches are quite good at the college.
CUSAT is a great option for its flagship courses, but if you want to study a core branch, choose SRM University.
How is the placement at SRM University, Chennai?
SRM University Chennai also known as SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRM IST) offers good placement opportunities for students. The average package of SRM University is INR 7.92 LPA for placements 2023-24. The average package increased by 15.11% in 2024 compared to 2023 (INR 6.88 LPA).
Around 700+ recruiters hire students from SRM Chennai including big company giants like, IBM, Infosys, Honey Well, Air Asia, Aditya Birla Group, Hindustan Unilever Limited, Hyundai, Apollo, etc. The highest package of SRM University Chennai is INR 52 LPA (2023-24 Placements).
