Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants seeking admission to the Program should meet the following criteria as

Academic Requirement:

Candidates applying for the Undergraduate Engineering admission in 2023 should have secured minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate).
The average marks obtained in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB) in +2 (or its equivalent) put together should be minimum aggregate of 50% for the following categories:
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST
- Candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. CERTIFICATE TO PROVE COMMUNITY / NATIVITY should be produced at the time of counselling, failing which they will not be considered for admission.

Library and campus best thing is there are many places to hangout.
Industry-oriented Curriculum: The course curriculum is often praised for being updated and relevant to industry needs, preparing students for successful careers.
The faculty are quite good and provide fine lecture and materials.
There are many patents and research papers published by VIT and it's students per year.

Dislike

This place is overcrowded and VIT is not able to handle the crowd some of the times which results in taking harsh decision.
Some times the official Student website of VIT don't work properly due to which we are not able to upload our assignments on time.
The FFCS is very difficult for us for course selection and many a times there are glitches in websites.

The course curriculum is at par with all the top engineering colleges in India. It is at par with gre aur GMAT entrance exams. Talking about faculties, we have many variations of faculties. In VIT, you can choose your own faculties (ffcs). So, if you don't want to study, you can go for a lenient teacher who doesn't teach and only gives marks, or you can go with strict faculties who teach really very well.

I like EE. The faculty-student ratio is 1:60. Ph.D. from IIT, NIT. It's very easy to pass. Not tough to score the top mark Just paying little attention is enough. So u can clear any subjects. Focusing on projects which u do in college helps to get placed.

I Was interested in the electrical Faculty: the student ratio is a little low, too many students. But divided into classes so still possible to get to know profs. All profs are PhDs or post-doctoral, assisted by research scholars. Teaching methods vary based on the different profs which is why there's a flexible system allowing to choose profs. Timely exams are set by each prof for their class based on what they've done in class. Some tough but overall passable.

Basically, I have heard about this course from my friends and relatives. It's a deemed university. In vit there are approx 2k professors with great knowledge, most of them are P.hd in their subjects. They explain the teachings very well even though in online classes. They give us regular assignments based on our learnings and explain to them to correct our mistakes. In each semester we have 2 midterms referred to as CAT 1 and CAT 2 and an end sem. Each semester takes a time period of about 5 months. In vit if we are not able to understand the material given by faculty then there are options that we have access to all the material of other faculties too.

My course in this field because I felt that the electrical department is more important for upcoming and future days and my interest. VIT University has 100% doctoral faculty on campus and they are very good in their domain. All doctoral faculty and we are learning through CALTECH technology. Semester-wise and 50% of the parts were difficult to pass.

The EEE course in VIT Vellore is really good. Both theoretical and practical knowledge is given. The teachers are friendly. Most of them are experts in their field. The class strength is around 65 students. Exams are moderate.
