Latest Update: Noida International University (NIU), is inviting applications for admission to its undergraduate and postgraduate programs for the academic session 2021-22. Candidates seeking admission to NIU, Greater Noida shall register themselves online on the varsity’s official website.

NIU, Greater Noida MA Important Dates 2021

Noida International University (NIU), Greater Noida offers a full-time M.A. program in various specializations for the duration of 2 years. The minimum requirement to apply for the M.A. program at NIU is a bachelor’s degree in relevant subjects from a recognized university.

The selection of candidates is based on the merit list released by NIU based on the Group Discussion and Personal Interview conducted by the varsity itself.

NIU, Greater Noida M.A. Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the M.A. program offered at NIU, Greater Noida shall fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria as mentioned below:

• Minimum 45% marks in Graduation with relevant subjects.
• For Admission to MA Journalism and Mass Communication: A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Graduation with relevant subjects.
• For Admission to MA Economics: Must have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in BA Economics.

NIU, Greater Noida M.A. Admission Guidelines

The selection criteria for admissions to the MA program offered at NIU is based on the performance in personal interview and group discussion.

• Admission to the MA Journalism and Mass Communication program is done through an entrance test followed by GDPI.
• The first selection is through the merit rank of candidates in their qualifying examinations.
• The final selection of candidates will be based on their performance in the GDPI.

How to Apply?

Candidates can apply either online or offline mode.

Online Mode

• Visit the official website of the university @niu.edu.in and click on the ‘Apply Now’ tab.
• Register using a valid email id and mobile number.
• Upon successful registration, proceed to fill the application form.
• Upload the required documents.
• Pay the application fees using any of the payment methods.
• After payment, submit the application form.
• Print the application form for future reference.

Offline Mode

• Visit the official website and download the form.
• The form must be filled in correctly and the required documents must be attached along with the application form.
• Pay the fees to the college bank account as mentioned on the website.
• Send the filled-in form with two passport size photographs to admissions@niv.edu.in.
• Candidates can also send the filled-in form with DD in favor of Noida International University payable at New Delhi.
• NOTE - Students can pay the application fee through the payment link given on the website, Order/Demand Draft, or in cash at the University.

NIU offers a full-time M.A. program in 11 specializations for the duration of 2 years. Tabulated below are the details of the specialization offered in the M.A. program:

Course Duration

The minimum duration of the MA program offered at NIU, Greater Noida is 2 years divided into 4 semesters. While the maximum duration is 4 years divided into 8 semesters.

Prescribed Coursework

• The 1st and 2nd semester will consist of 4 papers each semester.
• The 3rd and 4th semester will consist of Theory papers, a Dissertation, and a Comprehensive Viva-Voce.
• The course also includes Field Study, Literature Review, and Progress Report.
• The MA program of the NIU, Greater Noida is credit-based.
• MA students shall have a minimum of 75% of attendance in each subject to be eligible for semester-end examinations.
