Indian Mining industry is increasing its market acquisition in the global market as there are many targeted elements are getting in different parts of the country, that's why I chose it. The faculty is excellent and experienced. Most of them have done Ph.D.s in their field. and their teaching methods are also unique. in IIT KHARAGPUR. There are two terms in a year. Two-time exams and two-time class tests happen in a semester. First mid mid-semester our mid-semester happened in 18 to 26 September and the end semester in November 16 to 26. And class tests happen according to the choices of faculties.
My Course is B.Tech in Mining Engineering and it is a quite good Non-tech field, also has lots of scope in India as well as abroad. There is enough faculty to clear all the doubts of the students. All the faculties are helpful. There are 60 students in a class in every department.
I choose this course because of my interest in the mining sector which includes mechanics, and some of the concepts from different departments. Here the student-faculty ratio is 17 professors for 120 students which accounts for 1:7 approximately The professors are highly qualified and their teaching methods depend from professor to professor. Some are interesting while some professor's teaching method is very boring. There are two semesters in a year and each semester lasts roughly 4 months where the midsems are held after 1-1.5 months of commencement of classes of the semester while the endsems are held in the last week or 10 days of the 4th month. The exam levels vary according to the professor but most of the exams can be aced easily if regular study is done.
I chose this course because I'm a little bit interested in this course although everyone wants computer science and engineering. And my faculty is so helpful they cleared all of your doubts. You can personally make an appointment with them if you have many problems. They will give you a certain time to approach them in the department.
My main motive for choosing this course is I want to study in the most prestigious institute in India and experience the teaching of the best faculty in India. The student ratio is around 1:5. The faculties are highly experienced and can help you understand concepts in a very easy way. There are one mid-semester and one end-semester examination per semester and the difficulty level depends upon the subject but you can score good marks if you start studying a week before the examinations.
