About MAKAUT
MAKAUT is a state university formerly known as the West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT). The university is ranked #201 in the NIRF rankings 2022 among the top engineering colleges in India. MAKAUT offers more than 100 courses under UG, PG, and Doctoral degrees. The university also offers PG Diploma and 6 months certificate courses in the fields of Engineering, Science, Architecture, Pharmacy, and Management. MAKAUT has 196 affiliated colleges, 7 schools, and 25 departments. The university has an intake capacity of 1667 seats for all the inhouse courses. For the offered seats MAKAUT has sustained a student to faculty ration at 25:1 for the UG courses and 15:1 of PG courses.
