CAT Exam Centers 2022: IIM Bangalore has announced the details of CAT exam centers 2022 and exam cities in the official notification released on July 31. CAT 2022 is going to be conducted in multiple test centers across 150 test cities in India on November 27. As per the latest updates, Imphal (Manipur) has been added as a new CAT exam center 2022.

How to Select CAT Exam Center 2022?

While filling CAT Application Form 2022 candidates have the opportunity to select up to 6 exam cities. CAT Exam Center allotted to the candidates depends on the city of their preference filled in the application form. Candidates can opt for the CAT Exam Center by following these simple steps. 

  • Step 1: Register for CAT 2022 by visiting the official website – iimcat.ac.in
  • Step 2: Create a login ID and fill the online application form.
  • Step 3: Proceed to 'select test city'.
  • Step 4: There you need to select up to 6 cities as per preference. The city mentioned first will mean that it is preferred the most and the last filled city means least preferred. 
  • Step 5: Continue with the rest of the application and make payment of the exam fee to submit the application form.

Reporting timing at CAT Exam Centers

  • CAT 2022 exam is going to be held in 3 sessions at each center- forenoon, afternoon, and evening.
  • The forenoon session is from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Reporting time for the forenoon session is 7:30 AM.
  • The afternoon session is from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM. Reporting time for the afternoon session is 11:30 PM.
  • The evening session is from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Reporting time for the afternoon session is 3:30 PM.
  • Entry in the exam centers will end at-
    • 8:15 AM for the forenoon session
    • 12:15 PM for the afternoon session
    • 4:15 PM for the evening session

CAT Exam Center 2022: Important Instructions

  • Details regarding the CAT Exam Center is mentioned in CAT admit card.
  • For the convenience of the candidate, Google Map Link has been provided in the e-Admit Card which will guide the candidate to CAT exam center location. 
  • Candidates cannot change CAT Exam Center once allotted. Therefore all the CAT 2022 aspiring candidates are advised to fill the preferences carefully. 
  • An original valid ID proof- Aadhar Card, Passport, Driving License, PAN Card, Voter ID, College ID, Employer ID, or Identification Affidavit is to be presented at the gates of the exam centers.
  • No item other than admit card and ID proof is allowed inside the exam centers.
  • Candidates will be asked to remove their footwear before entering the examination hall.
  • Jewelry, watches, electronic gadgets like mobile phones, calculators, etc. or any other metal item are not allowed inside the exam centers.

COVID-19 Guidelines for CAT Exam Centers 2022

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, candidates will be required to follow certain precautionary safety measures to ensure protection from COVID-19 on the exam day:

Wear a mask Mandatorily wear a face mask. No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam center without the same.
Hand Sanitizer Carry a 50 ml bottle of hand sanitizer for frequent sanitization.
Social Distancing Follow all social distancing norms laid down at the respective exam centers.
Self Declaration Form Submit a duly filled self-declaration form that will be available for download with the admit card.
Carry your water bottle You can carry a transparent water bottle to the exam center.

Candidates are required to carry the below-mentioned documents with them to their CAT exam centers 2022 on the exam day:

Report the exam center as per the timings mentioned in your admit card. Late candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall.

Cooperate with the staff for Biometric verification.  Candidates will not be allowed to exit the exam center before exam hours are over.
