IIM Nagpur CAT 2021 Cut off and Admission criteria 2022-24 has been released. Candidates can complete the online application for Stage 1 of the admission process from January 31 to March 10, 2022. The overall qualifying CAT 2021 Cut off is 85%ile for the General & EWS categories, 76.5%ile for NC-OBC candidates, 60 percentile for SC, and 40 percentile for ST & DAP candidates
- In Stage 2, candidates who meet the minimum CAT 2021 percentile and have filled the application form by the due date will be shortlisted to appear for the Stage 3 PI and WAT rounds based on the Comprehensive Score (CS). Check CAT 2021 IIM Shortlist and Admission
- Shortlisted candidates will also receive an email from IIM Nagpur asking them to reconfirm their interest for further rounds (PI/ WAT) of MBA 2022-24 admission.
- In Stage 3, candidates shortlisted in stage 2 will have to appear for the PI round after which a final merit list will be prepared. - Selected candidates will receive provisional admission offers via email. To confirm the acceptance of the admission offer, an offer acceptance fee of INR 75000 would have to be paid.

IIM Nagpur CAT 2021 Cut off and Admission Process
The admission process and CAT qualifying cut off criteria mentioned below are as per the 2022-24 admission policy announced by IIM Nagpur. Selection in IIM Nagpur is a three-step process:
- Meeting the minimum qualifying cut offs to fill the application form
- Shortlisting for PI and WAT based on the calculation of CS (CAT score, academic scores, work experience, and academic & gender diversity).
- Appearing for PI and final selection based on the computation of FS.
Stage 1: Minimum Cut off to be eligible for admission to PGP 2022-24
Only the candidates qualifying the minimum cut-offs list of the CAT examination, and obtaining a positive (greater than zero) raw score in all sections of CAT will be considered for all the subsequent stages. Stage 2: Shortlisting for PI Stage based on CS (Comprehensive Score)
IIM Nagpur will calculate the comprehensive score (CS) based on which candidates will be shortlisted for the WAT and PI process. The comprehensive score (CS) based on CAT, PAP, WE, GDI, and ADI scores will be calculated as follows:
CS = 0.30 * (CAT Score) + 0.30 * (PAP Score) + 0.20 * (WE Score) + 0.15 * (GDI Score) + 0.05*(ADI)
IIM Nagpur will send an e-mail to all candidates who have been shortlisted for PI/ WAT. Candidates must reconfirm their interest in appearing in the PI/ WAT selection rounds. Only those candidates who confirm their interest for admission to PGP 2020-22 of IIM Nagpur will be considered in Stage 3 for PI-WAT round.
CAT Score
CAT score will be calculated using the below-mentioned formula:
CAT Score = (Total CAT score obtained by the candidate/ Maximum total CAT score+) *10
Past Academic Performance Score (PAP Score)
In this, the candidate’s past academic scores of class 10th and class 12th are considered. It will be calculated as follows:

Stage 3: PI/ WAT Rounds and Final Selection
Candidates who have been shortlisted and who have confirmed their interest in MBA admissions at IIM Nagpur will be called for the PI round. The final selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of the below-mentioned formula:
FS = 0.40* (PI Score) + 0.10*(WAT Score) + 0.15* (CAT Score) + 0.10 * (PAP Score) + 0.15 * (QWWE Score) + 0.10* (GDI Score)
- PI Score: the score obtained in the PI round will be rescaled to 0-10.
- QWWE Score: The WE score calculated in stage 2 will be multiplied by the quality of work to arrive at the QWWE score.
- The selected candidates will receive confirmation through e-mail. To confirm the acceptance the candidate has to pay a fee of INR 75000.

IIM Nagpur CAT Eligibility Criteria
- The eligibility criteria for IIM Nagpur based on CAT 2021 is the requirement of a bachelor’s degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
- In case the candidate belongs to SC/ST/PwD category, the eligibility criterion is relaxed to 45%.
- The candidate should appear in the CAT exam and must score the minimum required marks to become eligible for admission at IIM Nagpur.
- If the candidates are given grades or CGPA instead of marks in their bachelor's degree then the grades have to be converted by the university and then the total marks should be submitted by the candidates. In case the university does not have any scheme for converting the CGPA into equivalent marks then the IIM Nagpur would do the conversion.
- A candidate appearing for the final year bachelor's degree and also those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply for IIM Nagpur. Such a candidate must produce a certificate from the head of the department certifying that the candidate is currently in the final year and has obtained at least 50% marks or based on the latest available marks.
- It is a compulsion for a final year student to submit the mark-sheet and degree certificate of the final year bachelor's degree examination held on or before June 30, 2020. The deadline to submit the mark-sheet and the certificate is December 31, 2020.

Ques. I have appeared for CAT 2020, am I eligible for applying to PGP 2022-24 at IIM Nagpur as an overseas candidate?
Ans. No, the management institute does not accept the score in the CAT exam for overseas candidates. For admission to PGP, you must have a valid GMAT score with a minimum score of 600. If the score is before January 31, 2017, it will be considered invalid and your admission will be rejected. It should be kept in mind that the candidate must be Indian or foreign national living or studying outside for at least 18 months.
Ques. What is the fee structure for PGP at IIM Nagpur?
Ans. The fee structure for domestic students is INR 18.00 lakhs for two years for the program. The fee structure for SAARC candidates is USD 24,000 whereas, for other students, it is USD 30,000. It excludes all other charges like caution deposit, mess deposit, etc.
Ques. Is IIM Nagpur participating in IIM CAP process?
Ans. No, IIM Nagpur is not participating in the CAP counselling process. Only 9 baby and new IIMs are participating in the CAP process this year. The CAP process is being conducted by IIM Trichy this year.
