Prof. (Dr.) M. K. Roul is the Principal of Gandhi Institute for Technological Advancement (GITA). His educational qualification include HSC from Tillo High School, Till; B.Sc. (Engg.) from UCE Burla; B.Sc. (Engg.) UCE Burla; M. Tech. from IIT Kharagpur and PhD from IIT Kharagpur. He has held important positions including Principal, Professor, HOD, Assistant Professor, Senior Lecturer in BIET, Bhadrak.
He has awarded M.TECH. /ME degree as Supervisor to many students in the specialization of Thermal Engineering.
Prof. (Dr.) M. K. Roul has been awarded the ‘Best Indian Educationist Award’ for his outstanding services, achievements and contribution at a seminar on “Economic Growth and National Unity” by the Friendship Forum, New Delhi.

Working in education industry I feel young, energetic and dynamic as I always work with young minds and deal with human beings, new curriculum and pedagogy challenges. This industry will only flourish in future with the challenges of innovation and knowledge dissemination.

Today, there are many pessimistic reactions about engineering educations in our country. People say engineering education is at the crossroads. But we take this challenge as an opportunity to grow and to groom engineering minds. We have the following recognition that helps us raise the bar.
Gandhi Institute for Technological Advancement (GITA) is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) under Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, recognized by Govt. of Odisha and affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Odisha. It is accredited by NAAC at ‘A’ grade with 3.30 CGPA. It is also accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and approved as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by DSIR, Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. As per National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF-2017), MHRD, Govt. of India, GITA has been ranked among Top 150 Engineering colleges in India.

Prof.(Dr.) M. K. Roul’s relationship with the students
We have almost one-to-one relationship with our students. We have highly qualified teachers who are motivating students to pursue the best suitable career progression. We take care of the holistic development of students and update them with education and training apart from looking at their co and extra-curricular activities. We have successfully implemented the proctorial system where each proctor is in charge of 20 students and the proctors are acting as their friend, philosopher and guide.

GITA has a very dynamic Training and Placement cell which has helped the students to have placements in various reputed corporate bodies, core sectors etc. Nearly 80-85% students obtain placements in their 7th semester. We are tied up with the several companies for campus drives like INFOSYS, TCS, MINDTREE, TECH MAHINDRA, WIPRO, CAPGEMINI, L&T, ACCENTURE, HONEYWELL, HEXAWARE, COCA COLA and many more. Our avalanche of alumni connects lead us to pick our students to be placed in good companies. Many of our students are there are Fortune 500 companies.

Suggestions for the current youth and the aspiring students
A dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work. They must flex their muscles to reach the top and to stay there with updated knowledge skills and wish-to-win attitudes. Besides engineering, they are there to serve the common man and to work for the well-being of society going beyond religion and superstitions. The career achievement of the students helps admission to the new sessions and the culture perpetuates.
