Will automobile companies visit NITIE to recruit?
Definitely. According to some of my friends studying at NITIE, a lot of automobile companies visit the institute for internships as well as final placements.
- The top recruiters include Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Anand Group, BMW, Hero Motocorp, TVS Motors as well as Bajaj Motors.
- The manufacturing sector placements have a high salary of about INR 24 lakhs per annum.
- Whereas the average salary is about INR 17.9 lakhs per annum.

How is the placement of VLSI in NIT Trichy?
NIT Trichy placements are good for VLSI. Most students from the branch get placed in software and hardware profiles as per their skills and knowledge. Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, Nvidia, Western Digital, etc. are among the major core recruiters that take part in the campus drive. The average CTC for the branch stays in the range of INR 10-12 LPA.
How are the placement and job prospects of an M.Tech in ECE from Thapar University?
My sister did her M.E. in ECE from Thapar University in 2016. The placement and job prospects of Thapar University M.E. students depend on various factors. The most important of these is CGPA and dissertation. My sister’s dissertation revolved around music signal processing. If you get an 8 CGPA or above at the end of your 3rd semester, you will be eligible to sit for most of the placement interviews.
Your supervisor plays a great role in determining how well you write your dissertation. Choose your supervisor very wisely because your knowledge will ultimately weigh more than your credits. Choose an approachable and helpful supervisor. Having a good knowledge of your research area will allow you to perform well during the placement interviews and you will ultimately land a well paying job.
Core companies like Samsung, Freescale, Sandisk, among others allow both B.E. and M.E. students from Thapar University to sit for their placements. LPU, Sharda University, etc. have started visiting the campus with teaching job offers. You can also get placed for teaching in coaching centers like Akash during the placements. IT companies like Infosys also hire candidates from other branches like ECE. For other companies, they would explicitly state if they are not open for M.E. students.
Thus, the placement and job prospects for M.E. (ECE) students of Thapar University are quite good.
Why is K.J. Somaiya so famous in Mumbai when I can’t see any mechanical placement there?
The first thing you need to understand is that a college's worth does not depend on its placements. It’s much more than that. Even if you don’t land a high package you might learn better skills than at any other college. The same is the case with KJ Somaiya, it offers the following advantages which overlook its average placement statistics
- Comprehensive curriculum: The curriculum here is vast as it covers versatile audit courses like Entrepreneurship, Business Analytics, Sales, History of Mumbai.
- No minimum attendance rule: The lack of a minimum attendance rule makes it possible for the students to engage more in extracurricular activities and thus leads to overall development.
- Incubation center: KJ Somaiya’s incubation center Ridll has given birth to many entrepreneurs.
- Experienced faculty: KJ Somaiya mechanical's department is as old as VJTI in terms of experience.
Also, the placement here is quite similar to other engineering colleges in Mumbai.
Has anyone from VIT, Pune been placed in companies like Google or Microsoft?
Rarely do companies like Google and Microsoft visit VIT Pune for placements. They have made a few visits in the past and then recruited only the best students. These companies set fixed criteria for marks while shortlisting students.
So, your main goal should be to get good marks.Only then can you attract such companies.
What is the placement scenario for an EC in DDU Nadiad How is the package range?
I have a few friends from DDU Nadiad and according to them, the placement scenario for EC is great. As an Electrical Engineer, you have opportunities to work in various fields. If you are interested in IT, you can join Infosys, TCS, Igate Pattni, Tech Mahindra, Cybage, and other such companies.
If you want to join core companies then you will have the option to join Sibridge, EInfochips, Volancyc, Matrix solutions, KHS, Idea, Masibus, Airtel, etc.
According to the recent placement highlights the average CTC offered at the institute is 4-5 LPA.
Does an engineering physics graduate from IIT Delhi get high packages?
Engineering Physics is one of the most intriguing research-oriented branches of IIT Delhi. Students of this branch get the excellent opportunity to work in top research centers like ISRO, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre. Eminent scientists and professors testify to the branch's credibility so need not worry about placements.
However, this branch is highly challenging and should be opted for only if you are serious about making a career out of it. The curriculum is challenging with high-level mathematics.
Students from most branches end up working in MNCs and leave soon because they are not satisfied. However, the Engineering Physics branch provides excellent job prospects. I know someone who chooses this branch over CS and Electrical despite his AIR being 10.
This branch requires serious commitment and one has to be truly devoted to the field. The faculty is not that good in comparison to other branches and this might make you suffer initially, but once you start understanding the practical concepts, it will become one of the most interesting courses you have ever come across.
How is the placement of CS in PDPU? Is the money worth it?
The fees that PDPU charges are not only for the education but the overall development of an individual. The campus, classrooms, ambience and its rich and vivid culture will definitely have a huge impact on the students. You will not get such all-round development in sports and other extra curriculars in any other college in Gujarat.
When placements are considered it always stood out among others. The ICT and CS at PDPU was started keeping in mind the need of engineers that will rise for The Jio project of Mr. Mukesh Ambani who is the president of PDPU. So Jio will be hiring many students.
How is the teaching and placement in ETC for IGIT, Sarang in Odisha currently?
A friend of mine completed BTech in Electronics and Telecom from IGIT. Here are some of the things that he shared about the institute.
- Initially, you will feel the pressure from lots of assignments as assigned but then you will get used to it.
- The curriculum followed by the Department takes into account the latest subjects as per the current scenario.
- During lab sessions, you will have the guidance of teachers. According to my friend, Sunita ma’am was quite helpful. Some Faculties have exceptional knowledge in the field of Networking and Communication. My friend's guide was also of great help during his project in the final year.
- Apart from all this, there is decent placement as well not in terms of quality but quantity. Students get placed in companies such as TCS, Tech Mahindra, and Concept Infoway, etc.
From what I heard, there is not too much pressure from Teachers. You are free to do anything. So, make the most of your time at the institute.
Why are the placements in Thapar University so high despite the bad reviews of many students studying at Thapar?
Thapar University has better placements than most private colleges and NITs. But the problem is, placements here directly depend on the grades of the students, and only the serious ones who work hard to build their profile bag the best packages.
Now the reviews of students are mixed because not everyone invests the same efforts and bags high packages. The people giving bad reviews are the ones who did not build their resumes well.
The best thing about Thapar University is the level of freedom you get to experience here. However, the increasing intake is slowly deteriorating the student quality so you might want to consider this before joining.
